true, I am but I actually breathed a sigh of relief seeing him come off and Arshavin come on. He didnt look injured so I'll look forward to seeing Wengers reason....maybe he didn't see it?

Wenger said the 2nd goal was done to a tactical error but wouldn't say more. I'm assuming the error was Arshavin's part in the goal, not putting a tackle in but I would have applauded Wenger if he'd actually come out and said the error was his own for substituting his best player.

Blaming Arshavin for the second goal wouldn't be fair on Valencia. That cut back and run was brilliant!

true but maybe Chamberlain being on the field would have made Valencia more cautious about going forward and leaving the wing exposed. I don't think he was as worried about having to mark Arshavin.

Point is though, as far as I'm concerned when a team equalises, the impetus is with them and the crowd are lifted but the substitution (which even Van persie questioned) helped Man Utd.

The result could have gone either way but it would have been totally different if Wellbeck (who had a good game, amazing work rate) had put his chances away.

And what about that miss from Van Persie? How much is that to blame for their loss?

And true say Furbs, Welbeck had a few chances he should've buried. Very good player Welbeck.

Both sides had some great chances, Arshavin should have done better, but at the same time Arsenal didn't capitalise when Jones stumbled and let Walcott(?) through at the start, which was the same kind of situation.

I'm getting sick and tired of Walcott. His attempted pass to van Persie after Jones' fall was pathetic. van Persie pulls back to the penalty spot and Walcott still puts the ball into the 6 yard box where there are 3 Man Utd defenders waiting to clear it.

I remember when he started playing first team games for us, every time he got the ball there was an air of excitement that maybe something special was about to happen (maybe slightly unfairly). After 5 games of seeing him run straight into the left-back I'd realised he wasn't actually any good yet others would still get excited. It took another two years for everyone else to finally see what I'd been seeing: he has absolutely zero footballing ability. Push him wide and he'll inevitably run the ball out for a throw. Useless.

who would you actually keep? If they fail to get into the champions league next year, I cant see Van Persie wanting to stay.

I cannot see Van Persie leaving if I'm honest with you, him and his family are settled in London, his kid has his little football team here, he has been an Arsenal supporter since he was a kid, he's captain, he says him and his family feel more English than Dutch.

But in answer to your question, out of the players we have now, only these would survive:

Van Persie (shocker )
Sagna (best RB in the PL IMO)
Szczesny
Koscielny
Vermaelen
Song
Wilshere
Mertesacker (Good defender, just needs some time to adapt)
Benayoun ( Good SQUAD player)
Gervinho (Think he will come up big after a season)
END OF POST
-----------------------------------------------------

Strong rumours going around that The Arsenal have agreed terms with Podolski.

Which means hardly anything because we haven't agreed terms with Cologne (Koln).

On tapatalk (like on the forum) you can ban a user and remove all posts at the same time... However every time I've tried it on tapatalk it's just banned them and not deleted their posts. So just to make sure I've gone through and deleted them too. When on the computer it's easy!
