The Social Network - What Did You Think?

I thought it was fab! Very interesting too. I also found it quite funny how half of the people in the cinema left 1/4 of the way through, but then again; It did drone on slightly.

What did you guys think?

Loved it - great to hear terms such as wget and Emacs mentioned in a Hollywood movie!

Interesting and intriguing story, well produced, and also rather amusing at times!

Well, i've not seen it myself but my 2 eldest girls went to watch it and didn't rate it at all.
I think that just because they use Facebook they thought they would be interested in it but it's more the behind the scenes mechanics of FB and Napster that you need to be into to appreciate the story behind this.

Can't wait to see it myself.

I'd rather ride down a banister of rusty nails using my balls as brakes, than watch that drivel.
My opinion not shared by most.

It reverts to the time when he was being sued in 2004 (I believe) to how he came to that position. It's quite good.

I went with 3 friends - one of them I've previously run an Internet Business with, the other two are just 'normal' friends. My ex business partner and I were laughing a lot at all the nerdy jokes - and as Charlie's said I liked the fact wget was in there, and the good ol' eMacs.

Other from the nerd jokes, I found the storyline was pretty good! I enjoyed it.

Haven't seen it yet, and I don't really plan on it either.
Trailers look really dull.

I think it's one of those where you have to really appreciate how amazing the story is to enjoy the film. I think Zuckerberg is a great idol, and the film certainly inspired me to never give up on an idea and keep working at it!

I agree it's not a film for everyone, but I personally loved it and recommend it to anyone who's slightly interested in how Facebook became what it is today.

I use facebook but really don't see any need for there to be a film about it, talk about over hyping something. Talking of over hyped.. It stars justin timberlake doesn't it?.. Another reason not to watch!

On our 1st date we went for a nice dinner etc, and I let her choose the film... It was Saw!

Now every year a new Saw movie comes our around our anniversary! It's tradition! God knows what we'll do next year as this is the last film

Agree. I love it when films go all technical. Die hard 4.0 was like that.

I think the only way they could have made that film more technical was calling it 4.0 beta.

The Social Network was in itself a good film. I think it shows quite well how going from nothing to Billions can have it's impact on you.

@MJ10 I just went to see Saw in 3D today...gruesome. Think of all the gross from the other ones all piled up and combined...
