Aaron Ramsey

Apparently he's just snapped his legs after a wild tackle from Stoke's Ryan Shawcross. It's so bad that they didn't even replay it and it made Shawcross cry.

Nah I don't have sky sports. Was going by the bbc live text updates.

Quote:
1858: Shawcross appeared to be wiping away tears as he walked off in shock. Ramsey is being stretchered off. The likes of Thomas Vermaelen and Cesc Fabregas, in particular, look completely stunned. It's bringing back unhappy memories of the Eduardo injury at Birmingham. Ramsey has an oxygen mask as he is carried off down the tunnel.

Red card
Stoke red card: No, no, no. Even Ryan Shawcross looks traumatised by this - as are a lot of other players. Aaron Ramsey has suffered a horrific injury after a tackle by the Stoke defender. They aren't replaying the incident. I'm not surprised. Ramsey was holding his injured ankle up in the aftermath and it was not at the right angle in any way. Horrible.

I really hope Rambo makes a swift recovery and they have a load of pain relief going on for him. we need to get and win the league now for him

Up the GUNNERS!!

*edit - Fabregas just scored a penalty to make it 2-1 to Arsenal

I saw this live on sky hd and TBH it wasn't that bad of a challenge 50/50 and they were both flying in. It didn't deserve a sending off, he only got that due to the injury sustained by Ramsey.
Shawcross was clearly distraught by what had happend, and being a fellow professional he wouldn't of ment to do it. I clearly feel sorry for both players and wish Ramsey a speedy recovery, I will also suspect that Shawcross will be making an apology.

He deserves his call up, he has been playing well, and stoke had relised this by putting a £20 mill price tag on him.
Here is a slide show of images Stoke v Arsenal slideshow | News Of The World not for the faint hearted.

Shocking stuff, was watching the Match live just having a nice evening enjoying the match and then that happened. Had me shocked watching it at home, don't even know how they managed to finish the game after it. I know Shawcross didn't mean to hurt anyone and I can't imagine how he's feeling but it wasn't a great tackle. Just hope Ramsey fully recovers!
