Apprentice's Kate and Phillip are engaged!

"Phil had been known as a womaniser but Kate has ended all that. He loves her to bits and is smitten."

The couple fell for each other while filming the BBC reality show and rekindled their relationship when the series aired.

It was confirmed last month that Walsh had landed a presenting job on GMTV to talk about women's office fashion.

Which was edited and could conceivable have been done so in a way that makes him look more of a big mouth bull ****ter than he actually is.

People always say this about lots of shows, and its brought up constantly on Big Brother, but although i understand the editing of TV shows, they cannot show things you haven't actually said.

When something is taken out of context you can tell immediately because you notice that they do not show the context. However, some discussions are shown as is, and when someone behaves a certain way or says certain things you cannot put it down to editing.

Phil from the Apprentice was an irritating piece of scum, and no amount of editing in the world could make him look the way he did. It is far too obvious.

Don't think you can say that. Did you read about the false editing in The Apprentice (the interviews episode), whereby Yasmina was portrayed to be a complete liar by the editors? Nobody realised that that was false editing, because it was in context.

Don't always believe what you see!

Yes OK but how do you know he behaves like that 24/7. Or like that amongst friends or anytime he isn't competing for a job with one of Britain's most successful businessmen.

I watched the "Your Fired" show that aired on BBC 2 after the BBC 1 show and IIRC Philip actually said he couldn't believe he had acted that way as he is usually a laid back guy.

So whilst I found him to be obnoxious, overbearing and ignorant whilst watching the show I know that isn't necessarily the Philip Kate has seen.

he obviously doesn't. everybody has different sides to them, and im sure there is a nice side to Phillip, but if someone can act the way he acted then imo he's a p***k, regardless of whether he has a chilled out side.

For example, a mate of mine used to go out with this girl who was a complete nutcase. She was loud, annoying, inyourface and LOVED to make a scene in front of people. She had to be the centre of attention all the time. Yet if you got her alone she was actually a really sweet girl. The fact that she was nice when you talked to her 1 on 1, didnt change the fact she's a total nutcase.

Most bad people are not bad 24/7. If you liked every person who was capable of being nice every now and again, you'd very rarely come across anyone in your life who you didnt like.

I watched that and they tell you on the show that there's 4 interviewers. Heck, they even introduce them to you before the interviews were shown! Yet they only show each person coming out once. Its not rocket science.

Its the same with the Got Talent shows and Idol and X Factor. They are the worst for showing things in wrong order. You get used to it though, and although I hate it because Im constantly feeling as though they're trying to manipulate me, I see through it every time. Eg.. sometimes an audition is very short so they repeat an edit of the same footage within the same audition. Also they film audience reactions throughout the season and pick whichever reactions they like best for each audition, even if it happened weeks earlier!

Yes but how do you know the chilled side isn't how he usually is. That's what I'm asking. Or do you just not believe the pressure or unusualness of the situation he was in could have cause him to act out of character.

Like if your friends GF was sweet most of the time but occasionally when she was under pressure at work or dealing with people she didn't like then she got loud, annoying and in your face.

What I'm saying is Kate must have seen a side to Philip that we obviously haven't. Something that makes her think a relationship with him is worth a go.

I guess it just depends on the way you judge people. I myself have always believed that if someone is nice 99% of the time and horrid 1% of the time then I wont waste my time with that person.

There are close to 7 billion people in this world so there are plenty of '100% nice' people to assosciate with. I refuse to tolerate rudeness. And saying that someone was under pressure is not an excuse I myself am prepared to accept because there will be many moments in anyone's life where they will be under pressure - it is not an excuse to behave poorly.

How we treat other people is the only thing that we should ever be judged on - not religion, looks, age, race, gender, taste in music etc... So we should at least be strict and unforgiving when judging on the correct basis.
I always have been, and so to answer your question... for me, i don't care if Phillip is as good as gold in his regular life because I saw a side of him that I didn't like.

PS.. Ye i'll play a game with you. I've been playing House Of Dead Overkill on the Wii lately (such a good game when you have a light gun accessory!), but I'm happy to play co-op with you. R u online tomorrow? Oh and have you played Empire: Total War? Someone has recommended it to me and I'm looking for a second opinion.

I guess I would be one of those who are nice 99% of the time and not nice the 1%. I don't handle pressure well at all so if I'm really under it I can snap at people if they interupt me (although I do apologise for it).

Yeah hopefully I'll be online tomorrow, probably from about 5 til 9 pm onward. Maybe during the afternoon as well although I'm not sure what my plans are.

I have played Empire Total War actually. tbh it wasn't my type of game as it wasn't just going from one battle to another. There was a lot of researching to do to improve your civilisation plus diplomcy / trading etc. It was just too slow for me really.

tbh the game seems to split people. Some think it is a great game whilst others think it is the worst they've ever bought.

One thing you should be aware of though if your thinking you can just sell it on if you don't like it then beware. You have to register the game with steam to play it and you can't unregister it from that account. So your either stuck with it or you have to give the new owner your steam account details.

You should probably check the steam forum and see what others have to say. Although people do have a tendancy to complain more than praise so it'll probably be a bit skewed.
