Anyone play Red Alert 3 online??

I would co-op with you mate but my xbox has decided to rrod on me *kicks the stupid xbox*
Bought a new one off ebay though for cheap...

I have it, and I've played through all the missions (solo) on hard, as well as the expansion on hard also.

However, I have not done any co-op or online play and I haven't tried a brutal skirmish yet.

Haven't played in a month or two, but I'd give it a go.

I didn't find the AI good enough to put anyone in enough trouble to need help. Well anyone except my fellow AI during one of the missions. It ended up getting itself killed and leaving me to fend for myself

btw you don't specify what platform your talking about. I assumed PC (as it is the only platform to play an RTS on

) but it's on xbox and PS3.

If it's PC you are talking about (Dragoonus or barcelonic) I may be up for a 1v1 game sometime.

ye sorry i meant PC not xbox. as Null said, i wouldnt even want to play without a mouse, and despite the PS3 supporting USB mouse with some games, it doesnt with RA3 which is mind-boggingly stupid!
so ye i play on the PC.

i dont think im anywhere near the level you two are at, ive just done the campaigns on easy and it wasnt too tough but i know ill struggle on medium.
im practising on skirmishes but find they are 10 times harder than they were on Red Alert 2.

id love to do co-op on medium or hard and i would probably get destroyed by the AI but with a mic i could maybe learn tips from you guys while playing.
the main area im weakest at i think is knowing the best way to destroy enemy bases - at the moment i just build loads of Apocs or get like 15 vindicators/twinblades and go in knowing half of them will probably get shot down (in other words i just use strength in numbers), so its not exactly very strategic and thats why i'll struggle on the harder difficulties cus when you're being attacked all the time its hard to build that kind of force.

im happy to have a 1v1 with you as well if you want but i won't be much challenge for you tbh you'll probably struggle more with the AI lol

Oh.. my strategies suck, I'm a slow gamer, I build defensively before even thinking about an offensive force. That said, I'd play 1v1 or go ahead and do co-op... just be warned, I'm not all that great. I just fend everything off as best I can then go and attack, usually my ore mines are empty by the time I'm attacking.

lol ye thats the same as me. when i go online tho i end up losing to an early attack of about 3 dogs haha. the ppl on there are so good, i like to build a base and get all the tech first and then use tanks and stuff.

I used to be the same until played a bit of C&C 3 online. But the way to win these games is to attack quickly so you cripple your enemy before they have a chance to cripple you.

For example if you send some units and take out one of their ore collectors it forces them to build a new one and reduces the income they have to build offensive units.

I may pop online tomorrow if you want to co-op and try and beat a harder mission AI.

i have it on teh pc and wouldn't mind jumping in for a game sometime if ya want...

But on another note wouldn't it be a good idea to get an eXceem tourney set up in such games like this and half life 2, cod 4 etc...
