Britain from Above- more like England from above!

ust saw the new bbc show "Britain from Above"

it seemed surprisingly and suspiciously English to me. It focused on english cities and (not just being protective towards scotland) didn't really show that much of scotland or wales.

there was one bit that really peed me off. the presenter (can't remember the guys name) was at a national grid power station control or whatever, and basically there was this guy who controls how much power britain is receiving/not receiving.
The commentator explained that they sometimes need to "draw power from other power plants, sometimes france and maybe even as far as scotland."

and maybe even as far as scotland? scotlands in the bloody uk! what!!!!!! (i said)

it's not exact, but maybe someone who watched it might have heard it.

I guessed they would focus on England anyway, it's always the way.

Yet, I would like to see some Welsh history.

Bit off topic, but last football season, a bunch of swansea city supporters(Me included) started a petition to get a swansea match televised, as we were top of the league but rubbish teams were getting televised all the time. Once again the English choose preference over english.

By the way just to make it clear, hardly any people in Scotland (including myself) support Alex Salmonds independence idea. So don't worry, i we won't be breaking away from the uk. (what would you do without us!)

Well, can't speak for the welsh but us scots enjoy every minute of a world cup if we qualify and don't expect to win (unlike some other UK countries ) and then treat our players like they have committed treason if they dont, lol.

I think the stats for the qualifying for the last tourney showed scots and english had almost identical records but the scots were hailed as heroes and the english...........well, you know?

a) im sure its a series.. there is plenty of time to see wales and scotland (although not northern ireland) from above
b) the national grid is controlled regionally, if there isnt enough power in one region they will buy from another region like france or scotland
c) televised matches are scheduled before the start of the season, no way of knowing which teams will be doing well
d) the england football team are generally amazing individual players who just dont perform or arent used to performing for england, and should be slated because they are supposed to be that good
but i cant speak about the scottish or welsh football teams because ive never known anything about them

The Scottish team is full less talented individuals but they are actually proud to represent their country and play with passion as a result.
