People who can't get excited about the football because chances are we'll lose are missing the point big time.

It's not that we might lose, it's the manner of the performance. This limp, pathetic, nothing performance, from players who are constantly lauded as world class and yet have done sweet FA to prove it. But they'll take (or in the case of the national captain, demand) the world class wages.

It goes way beyond winning and losing, it is watching Gerrard and Lampard play Hollywood balls throughout the World Cup, lose possession every five seconds, then come home and blame the outgoing manager and Theo Walcott, that's right, a child and a manager you backed whilst he was in charge.

Or having Beckham made the scapegoat at every turn when he seems the only player who cares half the time, at least the only one capable of producing something.

Or having our moronic, know nothing fans booing Hargreaves and Crouch.

Or having 'JT' telling fans he disapproves of fans booing his little sweetheart Lampard, newsflash Tel, they can say what they like and you should be doing your best to placate them on an off the field.

Then you have the manager, and the farce that is the FA. It is an effing shambles, to think Hiddink, Scolari or Capello could have been sitting in that dugout.

think your missing the point here, its ok to get excited but its like a chelsea fan spouting ALL year that they are gonna win the quadruple and the media believing it, telling everyone its going to happen and then they limp out in the second round of each cup and come 5th in the league.

The english national team doesnt go with the pride goes before a fall rule. If they were more humble and unassuming they would have more support

Also the assumption that nothing is important in international football other than England's matches is pretty much annoying too
