I can't believe West Ham bought Upson...i'm a Newcastle Fan and was hoping we'd get him in the summer! I would have been happy for us to pay £7.5m for him considering we have 4 donkeys in defence at the moment!! Come on the Ports lol!!

 | Re: Football ThreadI not in much of a postion to talk about footie teams bearing in mind my home town is Swindon. The only thing they have done of note in the last 20 years is to go into administration twice....oh yeah, and get demoted for financial irregulaties. Newcastle do come into that story as well though - we drew them in the cup and the club thought it would be a good idea to bet on us losing. That way, we would at least cover the travel costs up North and back. Newcastle did us proud and won 6-1 but the Sunday People got their teeth into things and the Inland Revenue weren't far behind  The Chairman, accountant and manager (Lou Macari) were hauled before Winchester Crown Court and I ended up as a prosecution witness. Scary couple of days As for Matthew Upson, he is leaving a Championship side that is going to be promoted to the Premiership, to join a Premiership side that will be relegated to the Championship -

 As for Upson. If Birmingham fail to be promoted, how much will that cost them? Bet your butt it will be far more than they got for Upson. If they were a mid table team you could see the need to cash in but to lose your best player in January is mad. If they fail to get promoted Bruce will lose his job even though he's probably against the sale. Money talks

Agreed arsenal have played some amazing stuff, although last year was better, but what has that got to do with Chelsea?! I would say confidently that chelsea have an amazing team spirit, and goals are scored most of the time by the same players, but they are the ones that have been told to do that! Will resume later...
