Out of a pure spur of the moment sorta thing, I took a last minute flight to go to America to watch this at the premiere showing*.

I am actually quite shocked by it - as it is surprisingly not as bad as I thought it'd be.....in fact, it was actually quite good and enjoyable to watch(!). It was quite emotional and definitely back to its original best - definitely hyped me up!

If you can see past the crappy plastic surgery, I was shocked at Stallone decent acting skills. Mason was well played too - the "baddie" was actually believeable this time!

I'm prob gonna watch it again too - highly recommended!

u went to USA to watch it lol> im a HUGE rocky fan lol watching it now actually on Cinema Channel on Sky all the rocky's are on, so whats it like then is it as good as other , im thinking no ?? o and is Adrian init

I'll definitely put it up there with the original Rocky and Rocky III (which I really loved for some reason). I don't wanna spoil anything but it is known that Adrian is not in this one

I had stallone give me a ticket himself, it was an ok film. Kind of slow though, although quite emotional

I think I can safely throw away Rocky 5 from my DVD set as this should be definitely regarded as the true ending to the series

I don't know why these don't companies release their movies simultaneously worldwide (UK and US together at least!) - I'll definitely not have bothered taking that long haul of a journey if it was released round my local Odeon already

Hey I just saw this today and it wasn't half bad although I was expecting it to be a lot better. I don't think it's as good as the other Rocky Films but it was still good. I thought it was a bit slow at times and there wasn't enough action in it for my liking...it felt a bit like a trip down memory lane at times!

The ending was a suprise...I was kind of shocked when he didn't win at the end. I was expecting him to come back and get a KO in the last round like the other films but it didn't happen. It was a good ending though, don't get me wrong! Did anyone else find the ending a bit of a suprise??

anyways, back on topic...I think one of the reasons why so many people like the whole Rocky series is that there is something there for everyone. For the movie go'ers who like character building and story, there is Rocky I and II. For pure brainless action, there is Rocky III and IV.

(I think it's safe to say that Rocky V is hated by all! )

Rocky Balboa is definitely closer to Rocky I and II. I personally thought it was v well made and the ending was appropriate...

I felt it was fitting that Rocky doesn't win at the end. He had given Mason the toughest match - and this was many years after his prime. Mason was v well portrayed - If he had lost, he'll be cussed for being beaten by an old timer. Both just needed that challenge to satisfy themselves.
