Freepay Closing?!!

I've been trying to get a extension on my gifts.freepay account for ages now and getting no contact from freepay's staff whenever i made a ticket, so i started to look for freepays other email addresses. I found domains@gratisinternet.com and emailed them, lo and behold i got a reply in about 4 hours!!! Heres the message i sent them:

"Hi, can you extend the time limit on my gifts.freepay account please? I already have 5 referrals but was on holiday so my time ran out before i could click on "verification" so can you please extend it so i can click verify? My user id is *****"

and they replied with:

"You will need to open a ticket on help.freepay.com.

Time is running out 6/30 is the last day our Freepay products will be available. After that we are closing our doors.

Socialcash Catchall"

Does this mean freepay will be closing down?!

Are you sure that's not just the deadline to your account? People have thought Freepay are closing down before but they haven't. Or maybe there running out of stock and the next order is due a time after that date

Eek, from the way I read it, it's saying they're shutting up shop. I don't see why they'd use the term 'closing our doors' to suggest otherwise. I hope you get things sorted before the deadline mate.

more likely closing down and reopening under a new brand, which ill be up for since ill be able to pillage all their sites again lol.

The thing is that i've been trying for ages on help.freepay to get a extension and now i have a deadline i need to meet to get my extension or i won't get my iPod touch! It is wierd that he's telling me to write a ticket when he can probably sort it out for me in a matter of minutes himself!

Whoever replied to your email knows if you get your problem sorted, everyone else will start spamming that email address

Just thought i'd help out the community, he's already told me to write a ticket and i've already asked him if he can give me the extension himself but he hasn't replied. Just going to keep sending in tickets regularly till i can get some joy from them.

Yeh good luck. I just managed to start verifying for an iPod Touch, hopefully they'll have a splurge of activity soon.

the signature "socialcash catchall" possibly holds an answer.

Socialcash is a company run by gratisinternet so I wonder if that company is closing on June 30th?

it would be a good business move as those who signed up before could do it all over again and a new "brand" freebie site will get alot of newcomers.

even knowing they are an arse at delivery times and support id do them again long as that 1,000 page survey wasnt pushed at signups.
freepay bagged me well over £7k in only a few months so would be nice to do it all again with all the knowledge

That was more of a re-brand than a closing and opening again, they were known as the gratis network/gratis internet, and simply rebranded their free gift site to freepay. freeipods.com became ipods.freepay etc

i really hope there is... I have 5 tickets with updates unanswered. And I know for a fact 2 people have completed offers and because I expired I'm not getting the greens, except now and then I get a new sign up. If they reopened my account i'd have the 2 greens I need to verify! God Damn It!

I have heard on the rumour mill this is indeed true, though at this point I am unable to name my sources or give any more info.

Bit of a shame, as it was freepay who kick started the whole free gift scene in the UK

sooo..... does this mean there will a sudden rush of ticket answering and green getting and verifying... ... or will they just close up shop and sod everyone?
