Same, surely they can't close just like that. What about all those people who are waiting for gifts?

The server application error happens all the time. Just wait a few hours and it'll be back up.

laptops.fp is working for me, haven't checked the others. That server error comes up loads on freepay, the site is always back up in a few hours though.

shipping concern

hey guys i have a question if u guys know anything about it could please give me some input? I ordered for an ipod touch from gifts freepay for a while now and my status said estimated ship date was on 27th of this month and today is the 30th and i was wondering how long it would take for the product to reach at the given destination or it wont at all thinking its a scam in fact.

I have been patient for quite some time and this is really getting into my nerves.

And yes the site keeps showing errors here and there and comes back up in couple of hours.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Freepay are very slow at sending out gifts. The way to speed them up is to send in a support ticket asking for amazon vouchers instead of the gift and they normally send these to your email within a few days.

Then you can purchase the iPod touch yourself using the vouchers. I can assure you this isn't a scam but you have chosen the slowest network to start your freebie quest with.

It can take days to months unfortunately

I had Amazon Vouchers sent to me in a matter od hours (2-3) but then for my TV to be delivered it took a month or two.

You can still raise a support ticket and ask for vouchers instead of the ipod, I did exactly the same, and got my vouchers within a few days after waiting a while for my ipod

Wow, I hope I get that!!

Well I completed on Friday, Clicked verify on Saturday, Clicked Order on Tuesday and shipping date is estimated 30/07/09. Although I have asked for vouchers coz need them more (for bike stuff) So I hope I get them pretty soon!!

Looks like freepay are bucking up their ideas just before they leave!

I REALLY hope they are not closing, and instead growing by hiring more people, redesigning etc. That would be cool.

I'd give you the link. But they seem to get this "Runtime error" every day for a while. Duno what it is, but it'll be online later.

Just go to they website
Click "help"
Click on a slightly relevant topic
Click "further help submit ticket" link towards bottom
Fill in form and send it off.
Save the webpage just so you can send loads of tickets coz they can be very slow. although this week they've been very quick!

Hi Guys,

I'm not sure if this forum gets visited by representatives of Freepay, so perhaps not my place to mention but we do a little bit of work with their main company Gratis and I'm afraid I have it on good authority that they are closing.

As yet, we don't know any more re dates, reasons and what will happen to any outstanding gifts and indeed why their sites are still visible, but a member of our team will be talking to them next week so if we find out anything else and have something a bit more concrete, we will of course let you know.

I would therefore recommend pursuing any outstanding gifts via their ticket system.

Taking my Xpango hat off for a moment, its a real shame to hear this as Freepay (whilst having their critics) were huge, especially a few years back so I'm amazed to hear this and obviously curious for the reasons behind it as Freepay made up a big chunk of the Freebie industry.

Will post more once we have more info.

Thanks

Sam - Xpango Customer Services
