Should I change my order?

I have ordered a white 30GB ipod from freepay at the 8th of this month and tommorow it will be 3 full weeks. I think they update the ipod status every monday and as it's monday today I checked and it's still processing Should I cancel my order and then order a black ipod video as I hear that they get shipped quickly. Or maybe the white ones will be in soon. I'm so confused on what to do. What do you guys reckon? Do you think it's worth changing or waiting? I was told on the freepay order confirmation email that it can take 4-6 weeks to ship.

don't change it after this long, regardless of whats in stock, their still going to be dealing with orders on a first come basis, you'll just put yourself right to the back of the queue again. I would imagine anyone ordering at this point isn't going to receive their ipods until feburary.

well they've been getting some more in recently, so hopefully some time in the next 2 weeks, if it hasn't arrived by then, then i doubt they will be able to get any more stock until after xmas.

Do the black ones get scratched easily does anybody know, or is that just the nano? I've gone for white but still pending approval, so I think I can just switch it, but if it scratches I'd rather just wait.

Re: Should I change my order?

I placed my order for the Black 30GB ipod video on the 9th of Novemeber, which is one day after you. My order status on FreePay is 'Sent to Vendor, Waiting on Product' since last week which means that they have placed the order but are waiting for inventory to arrive before the ship it out to me. So if you do cancel and make another order I think it will take longer for you to get it. GingerTez recieved his 30GB black ipod today and said it took some time to arrive after he ordered it. Checkout his thread here: http://www.exceem.co.uk/forums/i-got-my-free-item/3759-ipod-received-today-freepay.html

Re: Should I change my order?

well i'm sure they're manufactured the same, but i guess the scratches show up more on black. if you get a good case or as people here have suggested - the invisible shield then there shouldn't be a problem.

The black ones scratch more as far as I can tell. Its not that they scratch more, just that they show up more.

I'll leave mine as the white one then, thanks fellas. And Adam, maybe that's reason enough to stick with your order too!

Whether you've ordered a black or a white iPod, you pretty much NEED to order a case for it too, both of them get scratched very easily.

I don't remember this being a problem with the old iPods (not that I have one), have they started using new materials for the new ones? In which case why on earth would they use something that scratches so easily!

I've looked thru a number of UK iPod skins/accesories/cases suppliers online but none of them seem to stock this product. Has anyone else got one? Did you have to order it from their site in America?

I've got it for the Nano, it's great!

You do have to order it from the US, but don't use the official site it's very expensive try using the following site http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/StoreFront. It's exactly the same stuff but cheaper (Around £5/6). The only difference is that you don't get lifetime warrenty and free shipping. Wish I found this site when I ordered my case could have saved some cash.

Thanks for the tip Hinz, I've gone for the Nano one with covered wheel. Now all I have to do is wait for it to arrive and then I can finally take my Nano out of it's shrink wrap + cardboard packaging
