GratisInternet Question...

I know this is a forum for Freepay, But Freepay are Gratis and Gratis are Freepay, So I thought here was best.

I see that you have to be over 18 to register for Gratis Internet but im under 18.

Would they either let me sign up with my parents permission or would I have to use my parents information (After asking them lol) to register to the site?
If it was the second option, Would that money be taxed?

Many Thanks
Adam

Re: GratisInternet Question...

The tax question has been asked before, and I believe the verdict was that freebies are gifts/incentives and not earnings, therefore they are not taxed.

The 18 year old limit on Gratis is that of their affiliate network, which you won't be signing up to, will you? The incentive sites you speak of (FreePay sites) have an age limit of thirteen, so you're fine.

Re: GratisInternet Question...

so you have the offers on your webpage as adverts? if so yes, that money is taxable - since its in your parents name it will affect their tax allowance.

Re: GratisInternet Question...

Havent got the offers there yet. Still wondering how I should register.

So parents information would cause them to pay tax on it? Would this tax get deducted straight of the payment from Gratis?

I take it they wont let me sign up to Gratis Internet as im under the age of 18.
So is there any other way to do this?

Please please please just take my advice and don't bother. I can think of many sites made by people around our age.. and not one of them lasted.

Re: GratisInternet Question...

Mate take chigley's advice and not bother unless you plan on being as good as Freebiejeebies and Kudos (which is probably not possible, and even if you did better them, you would find it very hard to get to the level they have reached). Just don't bother, it's a saturated market where you will go under on. There are better business opportunities out there than this.

You may not have been here long enough to see some of the disasters:

You start off with good intentions.

Then you either:
a) Run out of money
b) Get bored

Then you either:
a) Be honest, and tell us what's happened, then close the site
b) Just disappear

That's how it normally goes anyway. Waste of time, and noone will do the site.

If I thought it was possible; don't you think I'd have my own by now, given the experience that I have?

I am not quaified to provide a answer to that question, you need to speak to an accountant

Runing a few adverts on a website you run as a hobby is a big difference compared to trying to run a online business.

As I said, If I dont start now, When would I?

Im just as capable as you guys, I know how everything works and have a detailed plan on how im going to do everything.
The only bit that is holding me down is the factor explained above.

I have all intentions of making this site successful and will not let it fail

One simple question, how many £££ worth of gifts would you expect to pay out in the first 2-3 months before you get any money from the affiliate companies?

As I said, Im only running a sim card site for the time being. I know this wont be as successful as other bigger gift sites but its the only way I can gather money to afford to buy bigger gifts when the newer sites are launched.
I have enough money and have contacted whole sellers to afford to buy sims at the beginning.

Please can we stop this thread about my site and get my question answered?

Adam
