Vouchers - whats the point?

Hi

As some of you may know from my post in the 'i got my free item' abut £270 Amazon vouchers from Freepay. The thing I cant understand is I signed up to get the phone and they send out vouchers to which I cant even find one on Amazon for that value - so what was the point?

I understood that the phone - handset only cost £269 from Apple store but my advised me that it costs £269 only when you sign up to O2 Tarrif for £35 a month - im just amazed that fair enough Freepayt cant send out the phone due to wahtever reason but they should at least give vouchers of a place where you can actually purchase the phone for that price - the whole thing is just so ludacris!

Do networks only send vouchers when the item you want is not in stock, or can they send vouchers at their discretion? I don't just mean freepay.

freepay generally just send them when out of stock , r.i and fj kudos etc will do vouchers on request just only at 85% of the value of the gift..

supaman .. at least you actually got something , you can always sell the vouchers and use money to buy one from somewhere else. if freepay kept you waiting for months and months till they could send you one out im sure you would be more peed off with that

Re: Vouchers - whats the point?

freepay cant buy from apple like other UK networks due to the geographical limitations when buying apple products, freepay are tyring to source a UK reseller but cant see anything happening soon as ever with freepay they never rush.

if/when apple allow places like amazon to sell iphones then freepay will send them out instead of the retail price vouchers.
