freepay spam email


I just received an email from 'xbox360s@freepay.com' at my website email address. I have not used this email address to sign up to freepay before - and this is what tey say

Hey, click here and we can both get a free XBOX 360
http://xbox360s.*******.com/?r=3****645

this company has sent out over $14 million dollars worth of products, let's get ours... it will be fun

So they do spam - roll on the court case!

that aint from freepay, use thier contact us form to report the link for spamming (and look at the email headers to see were the email was sent from)

the headders just say xbox360s@freepay.com

I guess someone could have used the form - but it was sent to the website email address which has never been used on the freebie scene.

You CAN get the IP that any email came from. In Outlook, close the email (or minimise it) and look at your inbox. Right click the email and click Options. Then look at the bottom big text field and there's the IPs!

Not sure about this for other sites. Note that if there is a referral link then it's a person, not Freepay, emailing you.
