Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

Just a bit of friendly advice really, i've been absolutely stitched on this offer.
Don't do it!!
I signed up to Freepay, i'd already done lovefilm/blockbuster so I thought i'd do this offer. . ."FREE" silent ringtone, knew that wouldn't be the case so read the small print, the first tone is free then thye send you 3 a week til you cancel, £3 a time. Ok I thought join up £9 tops.
Joined up, recieved my tones for the week, text STOP to 81022 . . thought that was end of, next day . . got another tone.
E mailed them "I've kept these mails" asking to be removed from their group, got a response, saying fine already removed not a problem . . . Phone bill comes in yesterday £95 when it's usually £40. . . .really really angry. Orange told me to ring a number so that no 3rd parties can now contact me, they still rinsed me for £40 which pisses me off.
Suppose the way to look at it is that £40 is hopefully gonna buy me a laptop
Right before xmas though . . really angry cos there's not a lot I can do apart from warn you guys not to do it

Am thinking of doing this offer, will prob do it on my pay as you talk phone but make sure my balance is only £5 so they can not bombard me after I stop the ringtones coming.

thats a good idea . . .I feel really done, but also really guilty cos I told people who signed up under me to do this is they had completed lovefilm
Just be careful mate, using PAYG seems like the answer

Did you get credit for this offer? I did it yesterday, have not cancelled. THought I would leave them charge me a bit to make sure my offer credits, even though it says accept the free tone and thats is.

How long did credit take?

The best way to do this is use one of the free vodaphone sims, as you get £1 free credit on the sim and can activate it just by calling a free number.

matkavs, I got credit for it took about a week. I cancelled it as soon as I had joined but I still got stitched!

Complete at least one offer within 90 days of a new account signup and receive credit for the offer within that timeframe. A 30-day grace period may be extended for certain offers that require a longer duration to issue credit.

Ringtone offers are usually credited within a few hours, although I have heard talk of a pending status. Why not raise a support ticket if you feel you've been waiting too long?

Usually a few hours but could take up to 4 or so days.
