Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

My 2 cents...

Joined Cellorado about a week to two weeks ago for an offer... since then I canceled and got credited... tried again a few days later for another cellorado offer for another freepay site.. haven't been credited and they won't 'stop' my messages no matter how many times I text and they save they have.. have lost around £20 credit so far... dunno what to do whether to change SIM and have to somehow (impossibly) tell all those companies and friends who have my current number or what...

Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

I think you have to use a different Sim for each offer you complete... Might be why it's not giving you the credit - because you're not a new customer.

Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

Yeh thats what I thought... but I'm still EXTREMELY annoyed that they won't stop sending me messages... I get a message from 83001, saying 'blah your new free text will be coming tomorrow blah blh' 'text stop to 83001 to end the service' text stop to 83001 and each time they say I'm not subscribed to any of their services...

Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

I done an ringtone offer on freepay yesterday. I text stop to the number today and within 5 mins had a text saying i had unsubscribed.

Saying that i only had £9.50 in credit maybe thats why i could unsubscribe

I've had this recently too, both personally and my friends have had the problem.

I wouldn't worry about it, its pennies compared to tthe gift you get in the end from them.

Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

Update:

Emailed them last night through website to unsubscribe via two seperate emails.

Got this this morning.

"Dear Customer,

Thank you for your email.

The services UK_83001_UKCHARTS_W1_WUK73 and UK_83001_UKCHARTS_W1_WUK86 have been stopped.

The services were stopped: 2008-02-12 05:35:53 CET.

Please note: if you are a pay as you go/pre paid customer, we kindly request that you do not top up your phone for one week, as there may be pending messages queued to get to your phone. Please allow one week for these messages to expire. For further information please contact our customer care number listed below.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional questions.

Yours sincerely,

Tikal "

I'm just getting a pile of O2 sim card and other network free sims through, then putting £5 on each (I hope that will be enough for them) to do the offer.

Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

its not fraud as i contacted 83oo1 direct recieving a ring tone of free charge and paying for one is ok. costs around 13.50
if you dont unsubscribe they keep sending them the operater then puts a link to your phone for easy activation for more tones. so in theory its cancelled but not

so if you want to put fraud next to my name, then ask me next time bout actuall steps taken. post might not have been informative but just helping others out which i thought of as a good thing.

sorry to people out there bout the post but im a respectable person and dont like certain comments.

keep up the good work exceem

Okay
I am on contract/PAYG
Kind of a mix between them both

I only have 1p cred but I have 200 minutes and 200 texts

I signed up for this Cellorado
They send me ringtone/whatever it is
But after it they send a text saying I have insuffecient funds
Will I het charged for this in my next bill?
Or can they not steal my cash

And btw
The ringtone dosent work

Im kinda worried
Cause I signed up for the cellorado 3 times

Re: Freepay/Cellorado - Silent ringtone offer

if you look at the response I got

"Please note: if you are a pay as you go/pre paid customer, we kindly request that you do not top up your phone for one week, as there may be pending messages queued to get to your phone. It would seem they que it for around a week.. probably depends if you've canceled or not though

if you have joined 3 times expect your freepay accounts to go on hold...

steps you took.. you signed up to an offer with the intention of cancelling it straight, which is seen as fraud.

its people like yourself that get offers removed.. if the companies aren't getting new customers out of the offers supplied, they're not going to supply the offer anymore.

so of cause they're going to keep sending you them, thats the whole point, thats how they make their money and pass their money onto freepay.

and the main reason i reported the post was because exceem doesn't like cancelling offer's being discused, which is what you were doing.
