Why cant get an Iphone 4 32GB?

hello, I'm on freebiejeebies from 3 weeks and I'm collecting referrals to bring in an iphone 4 to my hands. I contacted the support to learn what I needed to do to bring in 4 iphone 32GB with a store warranty ... and they told me they no longer partners with FNAC and so what I would do was when i had all referrals needed, they will send me £ 17 / Referral to my Paypal account, equivalent to 29 referrals Iphone 32G 4, but 17 pounds x 29 = £ 493! 493 pounds is not enough to buy a 32GB iPhone4 in any UK apple store, which costs £ 612 (without contract I think) and in any store in Portugal and Spain.

I'm from Portugal and a 32GB Iphone 4 costs € 999 with no contract, in vodafone its 689,88€ and 17£ per referrals isnt enougth to buy an Iphone 4!

Im very sad because the support isnt help me on the best way to solve this problem!

I want to know what are your opinions, and if i can get a word from the FJ Network Owner!

Thanks

Ps: i cant understand why a friend of my, from portugal, has the right to recieved the right payment of a PS3 (299€) to his paypal account (thats no 17£/per referral), and i cant! The prove its here on a youtube video that he posted with all the proofs! YouTube - Playstation 3 por apenas 7 euros. Video a provar!

I've already answered your support ticket. The apple store in Portugal doesn't sell them directly and we cannot order them. As stated in our t&c we will offer a cash alternative in these circumstances.

Yes you have, but richard, you can understand me? You pay on the UK app Store for a Iphone 4 32G 612£...and in portugal...on vodafone its 689€ its 573£...and your cash alternative its not enought for the 573£! 17£ that you propose me, per referrals arent enought! 17x29=493£=592€... Do you think its fair others have the same change and i dont? I think that in alternative freebeijeebies should give me 20£ per referral...20x29=580£= 697€ and with this amount i can buy one iphone 4 in a vodafone store...but its not Sim Free like the ones you are give in Frebeijeebies!

I think we will arrange the best way!

please give me your opinnions!

FJ only give £20 per referral on physical gifts, because they claim the VAT back or something and get the ~£3 back, but cash will always be £17 per ref.

If you need more money for the iPhone, then get more refs..

Freebiejeebies can't make everyone happy. I was sad when I heard that is no free offer for Romania.
What if I will press verify for an Iphone 4? Will Freebiejeebies send my gift?

iPhones are very difficult to get hold of. We can only order them from the official apple store and apple won't let us order from all the international ones for some unknown reason.

Most of europe (if it has it's own apple store) is okay but unfortunately some of them don't sell the unlocked iPhone directly (presumably because of some restriction in those countries). We can't even order from the USA apple store so it causes problems sometimes.

We do the best we can, and it's better that we include the iPhone on the sites and if we can't send it then we do a cash alternative at £17 per referral (this is what all the gifts actually cost us because we can reclaim VAT on physical items to the UK which is why the slightly higher rate). If this means that this will not cover the cost of the item in your native country then that is unfortunate but unavoidable. If we simply said we'd send you the cash to buy the item in your country then that would result in complaints from UK users saying that you got more value for your referrals than they did. At the end of the day we can't please everyone but we are a UK company who can reclaim UK VAT which is why the UK's rates are slightly higher than around the world.

cono1717 is a jewel in the rough
The iPhone availability is down I think to the networks. In the USA verizon still own the rights to iPhone whereas over here there is no exclusive company so you can buy unlocked ones.

Yes that is true. In the U.S. some phones like the iPhone are exclusive to individual networks such as TMobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, etc. The iPhone is currently exclusive to AT&T only for the time being.

The price to get one unlocked here (U.S.) is $599 (16GB) and $699 (32GB).

So, the Iphone 4 cant be send to USA users? The only users that are able to have the Iphone from freebiejeebies are only UK users? If it is, i think that you must have a note on the products that couldnt be sent to some countrys and that freebiejeebies will give an alternative cash reward!

Doesnt is logical?

I don't personally think FJ should give you anything extra than what has been stated above, its not their fault that the exchange rates vary the value of the item, and anyway paying you £17 to do basically nothing is quite a good deal in my eyes!
