Had you not made out you didn't want an account on our Consoles site because it was in the way and then later because it was a distraction i.e. you only wanted an account on one of our sites, then either myself or Rich would have made it clear to you that you wouldn't be able to open a new one. All indications were that you had no intention of doing so.

Our rules are clear that we only allow one account per person on each of our sites. This includes deleted accounts simply because otherwise a lot more people would contact us and ask to delete an account and then create another as a way of switching referrers. We don't allow this because the original referrer gets credit for your account creation, not someone who you decide to give referral credit to at a later date.

If someone makes it clear when they ask for their account to be deleted that they intend to create a new one, we will check the existing account and if there is no referral link showing, they will be permitted to do this. I can't retrospectively look to see if a previous account had a referral link and for this reason, the decision stands.

Can this then be added to the terms and conditions please to prevent any future confusion. (and is there any reason why a deleted account could not be reopened if it is all about not switching referrals?)

We'll consider rewording the T&C, don't want it to be as rambly as my above post though, it's hard enough getting people to read through T&C as it is.

It's not physically possible for us to reinstate an account once it's been cancelled.

I'm sure Richard mentioned recently (in the disappearing greens thread) that if someone requests their account to be deleted, all info is deleted so can't be re-opened again.

then perhaps my earlier suggestion of an interim status, maybe an account suspension.... (such as having it voluntarily put on hold) is better than deletion. Mistakes happen in life, why on earth somebody would want a multi item site with a custom order deleting and want to keep a single item site can't be logical.... maybe he should try a plea of insanity?

I know I'm just gonna get crap for this but, in this case, it seems a bit harsh on FJ's part if it wasn't in the T&Cs and they didn't tell the OP in the support ticket.

I know it's questionable why they wanted their account deleted in the first place but I don't think it's relevant here.

At least you can start again on a different site and choose the custom order option. I can't cause I'm banned! I lost 30 greens (no joke). I had a really good method but it involved tricking people to become my referrals! I regret it now. I hope FJ will let me start "afresh" soon.
