Sorry for harping on..

but maybe THIS (the Lovefilm change) is a good reason for the newsletter (or at the very least an email) to be sent so people who are not Exceem members can find out about the change.. (and not everyone uses Fusion either)

I don't think it's going to happen. There have been a fair few updates lately (iPad realease, iPhone 4 release, new iPods release) and newsletters were planned for those, they didn't happen either.

The last time we sent one it made absolutely no difference to conversions which is why we don't see it as a priority. I don't think today's news is a good thing to send around in any case, people can clearly see it on the offers page.

latst time was just a general newsletter, opportunities have been missed with major product launches, maybe conversions would have been noticable if they had taken place before those.

Those product launches came at times when we were just too busy to contemplate a newsletter (No coincidence, I'm sure). Sorry but we have to prioritise things, and a newsletter is just not priority.

I seem to remember we tried something like this in the past (i.e. allowing people to send emails via our mailservers) and it was heavily abused...

EDIT: One idea would be to let you input your own SMTP server details, and our code would use your outgoing mailserver to email each of your referrals individually. Just saves you the time of copying/pasting email addresses or faffing about with BCC...

Source it out?! There's enough guys who sort of work for you that I'm sure you can trust so long as you check it once it's done?

Adr1an, Simon, Chiggly, Jon etc etc etc

I'm sure one of them would be willing to spend some time working on a newsletter for major updates?!

Is it not worth considering?!

^ Woah, quite a lot of positive feedback on this one based on number of thanks! My concerns are that people would struggle with working out what details to put in...
