you need to get 29 for 32gb iphone 4 so if you get it you can pay the referral's monthly but if you don,t get 1referral in a month you need to pay the $20

He means that when you register, you get your gift but then after you get it your in 'debt' to freebiejeebies and you have to get at least one refferal in a month and if you don't then you pay the €20..

This is a stupid idea imo.. If that would be implemented then how are we getting the gifts for 'free'?
And a lot of people would be cancelling their accounts immediately after they get the iPhone..

do you mean that, for example FJ send you a phone and you pay 1 referral a month til its paid off and if you cant get a referral, you have to pay FJ £20

If so, it would never happen because for starters you couldnt expect FJ to send gifts out to everyone this way as they wouldnt have enough money to pay for the thousands of gifts....well, Alex might lol

This is a pretty stupid idea as freebiejeebies wouldn't earn as much money from this and it sounds like lockerz

Worst idea ever!

I think freebiejeebies would rather you go the bank, get a loan, and just buy your gift.

The banks are slightly better equipped to deal with debt handling than freebiejeebies!

Interesting concept... As other people have pointed out it's not practical as we're not geared up to do credit checks on people etc and I'm not entirely sure paying us back in referrals would even count! You can pay monthly on our site now, get one referral a month and if your gift needs 12 referrals after 12 months we'll send you your gift

Maybe we could do this outside FJ's websites; make a trade website where you have to sign up under other's link and if you don't, you will have to pay £20... sort of a Pay-per-ref Conga .

This idea does give rise to other ideas that could actually be implemented. Lets say i'm going for an iPod touch 64gb which is 15 referrals, i find a method and get to 14 greens. The method dries up. And now i have no other ways i can get that one final referral to get the gift i so badly crave.

Problem solved! I can pay £25-£30 to the freebie site and they will give me that last green. I get to order my gift and the freebie site have made their commission which is probably more than how much LoveFilm (or another offer) would have given them for that offer completed.

What do you guys think?

No they have already said that they can't do this and you can use the trading section as that is what it is meant for.

Zazizizou - what do you mean? Forcing people to either sign up via your link or pay £20?

We have considered this actually but it actual puts us in serious danger of breaking the law. I've tried to find ways round it but there doesn't seem to be any. It's a shame because it was a good idea.

Originally we wanted to do a kind of discount shop, sell everything at full price but then by completing an offer/doing referrals the price of the items reduces (and can drop to nil) but after a bit of research we fall foul of a couple of pieces of legislation.

It's a good idea, but you should just do a trade if you can't get that last ref!

I like the idea of the discount thing, like Lockerz... just a million times better Shame about the legal side though!

Dammn This would have been an amazing idea, i would have definatly used it!, Is there definatly no way to get around it?

Why is it against the law anyway, its hardly any different?!

Breaking the law? You sure? This sounds like Lockerz SHOP, but again lockerz doesn't require you to do offers and it's legal for them i think.

It's to do with payments to join a multi level scheme. We could fall foul of pyramid legislation
