On average how much money does FreebieJeebies get per referral?

Hi,

I was just wondering on average how much money FreebieJeebies gets per referral?

I know that each referral is worth £20 to us, but I don't know how much FreebieJeebies get.

Thanks!

I don't know but it's not a case of them making a profit on every referral, their business model works differently to that. I did read in a post by one of FJ's owners that Lovefilm (the most popular offer) pay FreebieJeebies less than £17 per referral.

They make money by people only getting 1 green and then giving up for example, or people getting their friend's to go green who don't want to get into the freebie scene. FJ never have to pay those people. So it does work?

Standard lovefilm affiliate pay is £7 I think, although for the volume that FJ brings them I would imagine it would be a little higher, maybe between £7 and £10.

However, some of the other offers pay up to about £60, I believe.

£20 has got to be an average over all the payouts since they'll all differ.

As for this:

That can't be true because there's no time limit on your account, so if I got a green today and came back 3 years from now, I'd expect to still be ale to use that green. If FJ have spent the ref money they earned, they're out of pocket. Although it might be worth the risk for people that will obviously never come back and only have a few greens, but they're unlikely to swipe Furbs if he goes on holiday...

They'll also make money on revokes where the advertiser paid out but the user got banned for some reason. For example I had two family members both do paid offers, both go green and then get banned for using the same address (silly mistake really). I know for sure both offers paid out, and FJ get to keep that money scott free.

not true. If offers are revoked because an account has been placed on hold for breaking the t&c's FJ don't get paid.

Most offers, lovefilm for example only allow one account per household so if your two referrals did this offer not only would it have broken FJ's t&c's but it would have broken lovefilms t&c's also which is why FJ aren't paid.

I heard freebiejeebies earn £20-£70 depending on the referral. This seems more likely as each referral is worth £20 which is the least amount they get paid so this way they don't lose money. I think i saw that they said it on the BBC video.

We don't even get £17. I'm not willing to divulge all the rates we get, most are individually negotiated with the advertisers based on placing, volume and lead quality

As it should be!

why do you all care what they get payed? it is their business, and i think they are VERY fair in the amount they give us! Stop worrying about how much they are making, and concentrate on getting referrals!

Surely there are a few ways that they make money that haven't been mentioned yet... for instance when a user signs up and completes an offer without being reffered to Freebiejeebies. No one gets a green in that instance.

The other thing I was thinking about was also when users decide to sign up, and sometimes they will use three seperate greens to pay for their one green. Even if FJ got paid £10 per green they should make a profit. Obviously 3 x 10 is £30, which is £20 more than if said user just signed up and completed an offer himself. Although I might be wrong because then FJ potentially have 3 more people to satisfy if they then go on and get 2 or more referals each.

And that's just brought a question to mind, out of curiosity. When people sign up to FJ under someone's ref, will they go green for the other person if they use 3 of their own refferals or do they themselves have have to complete an offer too for this to happen?
