iPhone 3G Being discontinued..........

Hey Guys, im new to exeem, but pressed verify on my first gift of an iPhone 3G at the weekend

, but was a bit concerned when i saw report that apple have discontinued the 3G model today

, does anybody know if this is true and if it is what will happen with my order?

Not sure where you saw this but the Apple store UK is still selling the iPhone 3G on it's site.

Interesting first post.. I'm sure FJ would still be able to get you your free 3G regardless as there would still be stock of the 3G available through o2 etc.

Just noticed from a comment on the link blazer posted that the 'select' button has disappeared from the 3G model on the apple store website!

The o2 version is unavailable but the Orange one ships within 2 working days, on the Apple site

We never get as good a deal on things as those in the US do, so i'm not holding my breath!

I'm just debating whether or not to stick my 3GS on ebay and get as much for it as i can and buy the 4G in june.

I am trying to get as much money from freebiejeebies as possible so i can get the iphone 4G soon as it comes out on contract and pay the contract off in one go (well, most of it anyway), so far i have £238 saved.

It's not that, she wont even be getting an iphone depending on her end of year reports.
6 greens is 6 greens to most its a lot, some people get that many in a day, if I can get an iphone 3gs for 6 less greens in my books that's all good.

that might just be a good move, use an old ****ter phone until the 4G or what ever they are going to call it arrives.

Exactly what I'm doing now, sold my 3g, using a crappy phone now and waiting for the 4g to come out.

my sony ericson 'festival phone' as i like to call it, just doesn't compare.

That's what i'm thinking. The only thing putting me off doing it is that i only bought it on payg a few months back so don't want to end up getting a too low amount for it for o2 turn turn round and up the price of the 4G model because of all it's new features!

Also, the release of the ipad was later than planned due to the demand for them in the US, i don't want to sell it and have the same thing happen with the iphone and have tk wait months before i can buy it and be stuck with a **** phone!
