Basically, Websites are helpful if you get people viewing them. So if you make a website and sit back for the referrals to start rolling in, it just aint gonna happen. You have to advertise it, Do some SEO on it (look it up!) and try to get as much traffic as you can to go on it. Then you might get some referrals.

Websites are a good way to gain referrals but nothing's guaranteed. With a website you need to put time and effort in on SEO.

You can make a free site with free hosting at weebly.com, they have a good 'drag and drop' site designer so you don't need any previous experience in website building.

Good luck!

I had no idea how a website would work out but the main thing to start with was finding out how it all worked, learning HTML, FTP, hosting etc.

Even if the site flopped, it would have been a great learning experience.

couldnt agree more. sounds gay as hell probably, but when you on a top class website and something cool happens you just wanna learn how to do it yourself.... its a slow and gradual process, but soon you can type code as quick as standard text ... (not me tho ... i can only do specific secions of code ... seeing someone type code free hand and quick tho ... looks sweeeeeeet)

how i learned was via TutVid ... have a youtube look at it. vids help so much better than walk thru i find ...

Yup, just wish my sites were as visually appealing as some of the fantastic ones people have made.

Aaz8aris certainly helped to get the best out of them but a total redesign is probably what is required. I just don't want to risk rankings!

the weebly site you said is really good but al you peoplee who are advertising your own sitee have only .com or .co.uk at the end so the site looks like its done by a company and not just a single person so it look more legitament

it doesnt matter if it costs i rather go for it
do you know were to do it ?
thanks for all your help again
cheers :P
