 | About time I shared my good news :)So, the family all know now so I can officially announce hubby and I are expecting our first child  We saw our little one for the first time on Thursday and baby Bernard was measuring exactly 13 weeks. He/she was very laid back and takes after his lazy daddy. It took a lot of poking before he/she finally sprung into a backflip for our entertainment. I'm full of overthemoonexcitedhappiness and can't believe how lucky I am... I have been told since a young age I am high risk for miscarriage and was therefore expecting the worst - I've been trying to take things a bit easy the last couple of months and eat the right things, drink the right things, go for walks etc. I know it's still quite early days but can't help allowing myself to think I might actually have a baby come November (due date is 11th November). Yaaay!  |

We have extra scans at 30 weeks and then probably every couple of weeks until the birth, so maybe the secret will be let out at one of those late scans! We had lots of fun convincing everyone we were serious that we were going to call the baby Bernard whether it was a girl or a boy, and it just seems to have stuck! We should probably try to get out of the habit, else the poor little thing will end up with it as a nickname for life!! | |
