No offence but every member here "needs" referrals. You have to do what most of us do and have a read through the "how to get greens" section to get 1 or 2 ideas to help you.

Look, people here aren't going to do all your work for you. Like Crazy said in the first sentence; Be creative. What got you to sign up. make a website containing all the information you would like to know to make you sign up. How it works, tips, faq and proof. Use your imagination, because quite frankly, we have 'need' referrals as well..

how long does the intuit offer take and does my webite need traffic before it counts

A couple of days or sooner as long as you make and publish your site. You dont need any traffic and the site don't have to be any good
