| FJ Network Owner | Yes, but I think we have to become a PLC to list on a stock exchange which is even more hassle than becoming a LTD co

| Currently: Moderating! | Re: Freebiejeebies LtdIt is the companies decision wether to float themselves on the Market and sell shares, but it would put some of the ownership into other peoples hands! I'd buy some though!! I can just imagine FJ 10/20years down the line having come from a partnership to an oligopoly!! Then world domination

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | They do but it's pretty expensive! They would first have to convert to a PLC which means they would need £50k in capital reserves to start with, plus the legal costs involved. Then the cost of floating can be huge depending on the exchange you list on. We were involved in a flotation where total legal costs for the group of companies floated where in the region of £750k!! Admittedly it was a very complicated flotation and they tried 4 different exchanges over a 9 month period but you would probably still be talking about minimum £25k (and I mean absolute minimum!!) costs. No point in a company this small floating. Quote:

Even though you are a limited co people can still buy shares in the company if they want, you just can't offer them to the public but if someone approached you with an offer for them you would be able to sell. However in a company this size there would be no real benefit to having a shareholder who doesn't take part in management. Very interesting though, i'm going to go and snoop around! | ||
