Fusion signatures temporarily disabled

Just a quick note to let you know that we've made the decision to temporarily disable FJ Fusion signatures, until we can do something about the ongoing server problems.

Hopefully this step will be enough to solve the problem for the time being.

The signatures will be back as soon as possible, and will be cached to reduce strain on the server. More details on this when they are brought back online. You can continue using FJ Fusion as normal at FJ Fusion, this change only affects the signature banners.

Charlie

Thanks for trying to resolve the server issues, this doesn't seem to have made any difference though or is it just me?

Back online, but still running tediously slow.
Will look into it more, as it shouldn't be this slow immediately after a reboot.

Or more specifically, those posting their links on said site, who are hitting the F5 button every minute!

could always suggest to them that they change the links to kudos, that might help your servers, lol

To be honest though, the server should be able to cope.
There's definitely a bigger problem that we're missing, I'm 99.9% sure of it.

Charlie...you know how fusions live. Would you be able to make the status pages "live" too, because im sure im not the only one with a squeaky and battered F5 key from overuse!
Yes i know, easier said than done. But a constant connection would reduce the request fluctuations somewhat!

How? Only difference would be that the queries are being called automatically, rather than from a page refresh. Query quantities would be exactly the same, if not higher.

My sign ups have gone from about 1 a minute to nothing in the last hour... I don't suppose there are any possible causes from this other than no one actually signing up?

suppose once things settle down a bit you will know by looking at the stats what the server can handle before being effected.

Yeah I basically stopped posting when I noticed the server had gone down, but even now that it's back up I'm still not getting any.. Just seems odd that's all!
