Amazon Vouchers - No. of referrals

I was going through Kudos Networks gifts section and saw that they have an option for a £100 Amazon Gift voucher for 5 referrals. FreebieJeebies does the same option for 6 referrals. I know that FreebieJeebies does Cash and Amazon Gift Vouchers at £17 per referral, but i'm sure Kudos networks gets paid the same amount of commission FJ does from the offer companies.

How comes Kudos Network can do £20 a referral for Amazon Vouchers (although, not being on KN, I can't say this for a fact. They might just do £100 for 5 referrals and not £40 for 2 referrals etc.)

This gift option is one that I would go for if it was for 5 referrals. I know the two networks have other differences in the number of referrals for some other items, but this might be due to them buying from different shops online so buying at different prices.

Thank You

I would imagine it is profit margins. I am making an assumption when I assume FJ buys from Amazon via some sort of affiliate link and so will make some money back themselves on purchases they make. I would also assume that this doesn't count when buying vouchers, because if somebody has a voucher they could spend it via somebody elses affiliate link and Amazon wouldn't allow double affilaite comission!

So FJ will have a certain profit margin they will go for, and anything less than that they will not accept. It could be that Kudos Network have a slightly smaller profit margin or something like that.

To be honest it is like 4.30am and that was basically just a total list of assumptions so I would take it with a pinch (or a barrel) of salt.

To try and put it simply, it's about cost to us. Our gift rate is £20 to you because we can reclaim the VAT. There's no vat on vouchers so to keep the cost to us the same we have to offer a reduced rate. Having said that on consoles you can get £200 of vouchers for 10 refs. Nothing to do with affiliate links lol.

I thought this would be a popular gift option! How comes its only for Consoles? Cant there be an option like the consoles one for other freebiejeebies sites?

And £200 for 10 is £20 a referral
£500 for 25 is also £20 a ref

Why are these Amazon gift options available for £20 a ref whilst its normally £17 a ref for amazon vouchers?

A lot of question..!

Does it matter why? Tesco might sell a bottle of ketchup for £1 but Asda might sell it for 89p. You don't go to Tesco and ask them to justify their price do you? You just go and get it at Asda.

Or maybe you prefer the layout of Tesco and the staff friendliness so you go there, even though it's a bit more expensive. Either way you have choice so you decide what the most important thing you are looking for is and go to the place.

It's only for consoles as that was our first site and the vouchers were already on there before we registered for VAT. They should have been removed but we took the decision to leave them on there at the previous rate. We will not be putting them on the other sites.

It does matter why.
Thanks for that Rich! I'm not saying why some "items" have different referrals, I asked why "Amazon Vouchers" had different number of referrals. The reason for items like ketchup etc. have different referrals is because they might be bought from different shops but I wanted to know why Amazon vouchers have different refs when they're from Amazon (for both KN and FJ).
But Rich has explained it.

Why does it matter!??! Is the reason going to change the ref rate or something!?

You would be surprised. The supermarkets tend to get a lot of their products from the same places. In fact branded products will almost always come direct from the manufacturer.

People are curious. If something doesn't make sense to them they want to know why it doesn't follow the rules that their previous experience would suggest.

Simples!

Could I just ask.... when you get your amazon gift voucher can you can spend it in bits? Like leave some left over? Or do you have to use it all in one go?
