In the newsletter it says,

"We've added a range of bank account offers from Alliance & Leicester, including a 16-21 bank account. The Premier Current Account has also been added and this offers £100 cash back until 8th November just for switching your account. Not only do you receive your offer credit but Alliance & Leicester give you £100 absolutely free! Make sure not to miss out on this great opportunity by completing the offer before 8th November."

Does that include the 16-21 year old account? And for the £100, do you have to have any requirements? (ie. at least £1000 coming in every month)

Nope, that's just the premier current, and it requires a £500 monthly income.

I think both the 16-21 and premier account require you to be on working though.

Bummer for some students like myself. Still its a great offer though.

No wonder. I suppose having an offer for teens that will actually appeal to them is too good to be true..

* you are aged 16 to 20;

* you live in the UK permanently. We do not accept applications from the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands;

* you do not have a history of bad credit (in other words, you manage your current account well and pay all bills
such as mobile phone, store or credit cards on time);

* you will pay in your earnings (your wages, allowances or other money you receive regularly) and

* you will provide indentification if you are 16 or 17, or if we ask to see it.

It doesn't say how much that has to be (and in fact because it mentions allowances it's unlikely to be £500)

The £500 is only mentioned for the Premier Direct and the Premier Current Accounts (all this info is on their site)

The offer is a really good one for 16-21 year olds

So what if you don't have a job that pays you regularly each month and you just deposit £10? Will you not be eligible?

16-21s who don't have a job will still have some form of regular income, even if it is just an allowance from their parents/guardians. A one-off payment is not sufficient for the terms of the offer, but depositing whatever form of regular income you have is sufficient (as per the terms posted by Rich above).

If you don't want a New bank account then please don't do this offer. You should only take it out if you intend to use it (back to sending bad quality leads again)

Wish there was an a&l bank nearby though..but it should making transfer with other a&l accounts easier.
