If so, do you think a quick explanation could go into the next one about how the process works as a sort of reminder to complete offers? We could see the biggest conversion rates ever!

When you sign up there's a check box for it.

We'll consider it for a future one but we thought by reminding them Christmas was coming and telling them about 2 new free offers that would do the trick.

It's sent to everyone who signed up before we implemented email checking and afterwards those that did not opt out on signup.

one thing i can see happening now, is folk who signed up months ago will think mmm, ok ill have a go.. oh wait whats me login and pass.....mmm sod it ill make another account :S

If you've forgotten your login and pass, then your probablies haven't completed the offer, so I do't see how that could hurt?

Hopefully they will realise they must have registered with the email address they get the newsletter to. If they enter that addy on one of our sites it will tell them which sites they have an account on if they don't have one on that site.

And it won't let them sign up again with the same email address to a site they have already joined.

Yes, not sure if we can set something up to automatically check all sites for an account and tell them which of our site(s) their account is (can't do a password check unless we can link them to the right site).
