Car Comp Final Draw - How will it be done?

Alex/Rich - how will the final draw me made? I think most of us would really like a 'public' draw for such a big comp. The lottery approach you've used before worked well but clearly there are too many tickets for that.

What will the final total tickets be? I thought of maybe using two lottery draws, randomizing the tickets across the numbers so each ball had two or three tickets (would have to be equal for all the balls). Then selecting all tickets for the numbers that came out in draw one. Then, splitting them onto individual balls for draw two with first ball/ticket out = final winner.

Depends on exact number of total golden tickets of course.

What are your plans? Anyone have a better idea for a similar public draw?

They're drawing it by having all of the unique numbers shown to somebody, then they pick two.

Was this announced somewhere? Why pick two? Still think a more public draw would be better...

Richard and Alex haven't yet decided how the draw will take place. It will definitely be fair, and will most likely be conducted with the assistance of an independent adjudicator so that there aren't any claims that it's been fixed.

Fair enough. I'd just like to see a bit more drama than a simple 'the winner is' but can't think of a good way of arranging this.

still think the idea of golden ticket holders all being at a hotel or somewhere and making a night of it.

obviously a lot of you will need to bring parents lol.

To be honest I doubt many would want to turn up to that, as a majority of the ticket holders are absolute idiots who I wouldn't want to meet in a million years.

Why, what other reasons are there? That's why I wouldn't go!

eXceem meetups have been discussed plenty of times in the past, but none have ever gone further than the planning stages. I'd go if it was just a select bunch who are actually decent people.

People have met up a few times. Matkavs met Ash once. think ian met someone, and just small ocassions like that. i would find it strange as i guess a lot of people would be very different in person than to what they are like over the internet and if you struggled to engage conversation with that person it could be an awkward time lol
