Change of policy on promotional vouchers - please read

All,

We've had to take a decision on how we deal with the amazon voucher promotions.

For the referral based sites the promotions are unchanged but for points we have no option but to change the policy.

From 01 September we will no longer be offering any amazon voucher promotions on points.

The reason is as follows:
If we take bingo liner as an example

On a referral based site you get £20 for this referral and £10 amazon voucher so £30 spent
For points currently you get 4500 points (so £45 worth of gift), however when someone referred you they also get £22.50 worth of points for a gift and a £10 voucher - so in total £77.50 spent for one offer completion. I hope you can see why this decision is necessary.

The amazon voucher promotions currently running (and will continue to run on all except points) are:

HSBC Bank Accounts (EXCLUDING Online Bonus Saver) - £10 voucher
King.com - £5 voucher
Bingo Liner - £10 voucher

Thanks

Not your fault at all, it's not any particular user - we've been discussing it for a few weeks and only managed to speak to each other today about it

As Richard said, not your fault at all. If anything, it was our fault for not having realised the costings ahead!!

Sorry for messing you around guys - the Bingo Liner offer is still a good one to complete through Points though because it is still worth more than the normal £20 referral gift rate that applies on our other sites

Haha ok! Thanks guys, yup still a great offer to do! Just a quick question, how does points work then? As for why is Bingo Liner worth 4500 points when it only costs £10 to do, and Virgin casino gets you 1500 when you spend about £14 or something? I thought it must be something to do with how much the promoter pays you? So does bingo liner pay you the most? Also do the £10 amazon vouchers just come out of your pocket, as promotional purposes?

The points are based on the commission receive and the amazon vouchers come out of our own pocket to try and encourage completion of certain offers (it's one of the tools we have when negotiating rates with advertisers)

If someone signs up to HSBC, BingoLiner or King.com... how do you claim your voucher? Is it automagic?!
