![]() | "Referring URL: Untracked"?Hi there, i'm just wondering what that means when it says untracked in my referral information? I've only just got my website up and running recently and have had only 2 signups (both red so far though lol) in that time, both saying untracked and both are complete strangers, so i guess they followed it through my site. Is there anything i might have done when setting my links which would mess up FJ's tracking? I've set all my links as nofollows to avoid the search engines coming up with so many duplicate links, might it have something to do with that? thanks EDIT: Cheers for such quick answers both of you - thought i'd better edit rather than post again - that's put my mind at ease at least, now I'll just see if this new one will turn green (here's hoping!) | FJ Network Owner | Possibly, or it could be the browser they used (there's no real way to tell) untracked just means when our site tried to grab the http_referrer it came up blank

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've never really understood why this happens, to my knowledge (which is v. v. small) I don't think it's anything to worry about, and I think it's more likely to do with the users cookies, rather thanh your coding.

| FJ Network Owner | a little explanation i found: HTTP_REFERER will be blank for a number of reasons (e.g. if the user sends the request directly, if the user sends the request from a different IE security zone, if user has a privacy proxy installed, if the user sends the request from a page that was transferred using SSL, etc).
