Referral link with specific gift - possible?

Is it possible to have my referral link from my site bring up a specific gift for users when they click through? At the moment I'm specifying a gift (iPhone) but I would like to be able to say something in my blog about a MacBook Air for example and have a link that takes them to freebiejeebies but shows them the MacBook air as their default gift.

Anyone know if that's possible with a URL parameter or something?

Yes, you can do it in your account settings (on the refer page). Just choose from a drop down of the items on the site.

Otherwise, you couldj oin the Gifts.freebieejebies site and select all of the items you want to appear, so if for example you were only targeting iPhones you could just display them.

Thanks for that. I think I know what you mean, so I set it in my freebiejeebies control panel itself. I was thinking more along the lines of this:

Yeah you just select the item you want to display as the selected default from a drop down on the 'Refer' page, so there is no need for changing the link.

May I suggest that as FJ are currently down you switch your links to say Kudos? Even if you don't complete an offer straight away, if you do get any greens then you can make that decision.

I am in love with your sites, as I am sure other potential visitors would be, and can only see good conversions and signups as a result

You can do this with item ids.

Ie, apple.freebiejeebies.co.uk/12345itemid99

12345 being your ref number and 99 being the item you choose.

Using the drop down box may be more convenient however, if you do not wish to manually change each link on your site each time.

Good idea, many thanks for the tip. I'll direct them there and if I get any greens sign up and complete an offer.

Many thanks for the compliments. I've not had many people visiting the sites yet but I think that's because they're new and not been indexed properly.

Delude, what I was thinking was that I have some blog entries about different mac products and was going to link directly from them sometimes to a certain product so I would only be using that link once.
