Integration of 'AddThis'

What do you think about using the 'AddThis' button to the FJ accounts?

AddThis - Social Bookmark & Feed Button Builder

Its a button that when hovered over or clicked gives a huge option of social netowking sites to post to, very easily.

For example, you click facebook, a separate window comes up with your link in and the option to type a comment, and post as a link or message.

I have seen it used on search for points sites, where it posts your referral link.

It's so easy to use, and I have had loads of referral signups to a certain search points site through facebook and myspace, so it will definitely get FJ out even further

Fair enough

This is shorter, and would be in your account so you could post to multiple sites much quicker than you could open a new tab and sign into them.

Yeah that's the idea hehe.

The site I posted in Online Freebies (elemetskateboards.com) uses it and posts the individual persons ref link.

if you are very clever.... you can do what I did.... you can actually code the links to put all the information it such as ref links, descriptions, summarys, tags... and then you can encrypt the link so it isnt too big!!

I did this,. and it worked until my site died!!! need to rewrite a lot of links now. (I cant remember who I showed it to.. it was xoxoxoxoxoxo I think)

It must be fairly easy as I have seen it used a couple of times, I haven't actually looked in too much detail but as it looks pretty user friendly and foolproof, perhaps there are instructions or options on the site itself?

Works great

You can always link the script to a customized button though if you wanted it to say something other than just 'Share' and change the size.

i think theres a better way to display the messages, the twitter one just gives the link...
