New page on consoles

You guys really disappoint me! When i added the filter someone noticed within about 10 seconds (in fact it was before I even finished coding it!) This has been there 40 minutes and no-one has commented!

We've added a new page/feature to consoles (just consoles for the time being, until we're 100% happy with it)

It's entitled My Gift. It lets you set up a cash/voucher custom order direct from that page without having to contact support and features a handy search box for custom gifts.

We're trying to promote the custom order side of our sites and think that if more people realised you could get a gift from just 2 referrals then ratios might improve.

That's right I said 2 referrals, we've reduced the minimum custom order on consoles to 2 referrals in the process

Chiggles took on more of a consultants role in this project (he helped me out with the java when i got a bit stuck) as he's busy with his exams and other work for us at the moment

I'm starting to get the idea people want a Newsletter!! We're working on it, and have a couple of other things lined up for the first couple of editions which we hope will result in some conversions for you We still haven't got a date for this unfortunately but it is now a work in progress rather than a future plan.

With the 'Gifts' section of the custom order, can they be from anywhere on Kelkoo? I mean, eBay listings come up in my searches - can you order from these if they are buy it now?

We'd like as much of this kind of feedback as possible, so please have a play with it, be honest about any improvements - we don't want to roll it out across the other sites until we're sure it's up to the job.

We won't buy from eBay because it's too risky for us as a business. Pretty much anywhere else is ok (as long as the site looks reputable).

Yep, that's fine. Just send us a ticket in with links to the items you want, doesn't matter if they are links to different sites

by the way i reckon you should add some padding to the left side of the text, makes it look better :P

i love the feature its the bee's knees well done rich for the coding *pat on back*

but for me theres somthing not write with the text and its alignment ?? on the page it feels bare i dont have a clue but it just feels bare when you look at it, like more of a significate divide between the text sections.

right - i've removed the underlining so that's a start - yeah we weren't sure about having the gift image on there (and i'm still not) but i agree that it makes the text look odd. Not really sure how to get around it. Might be better to remove the image altogether and just move the text up to the top.

Would be brilliant if there was some way to organise a custom gifts without having to send in a support ticket.
