I have lost so many referrals coz they're not old enough to do the offers. I think the ringtone offers that freepay uses is good and should be used on FJ if possible. Then start the newsletter and you'll have another 10 greens in a few days :o

I'm sure ratios would shoot up if they did have these offers but they are open to fraud and don't pay too much in commission.

So I've heard. But there has to be a offer for 13-18 year olds. I know it's not going to be as profitable, but the amount of referrals completing offers is going to increase and should increase the overall value of FJ. It's one of the last few things FJ needs to do to compete with bigger networks.

Personally i think FJ is the the biggest network in the UK.
Who do you mean by bigger networks?

The only reason freepay can afford to use the ringtone offers is because they implement other money making techniques on their sites (Such as that god-awful questionaire when you sign up, and all those blasted pop-ups) Which would mean that freebiejeebies would stop being such a good site after all...

I'm sure if an acceptable offer came up for 13 yr olds, fj would jump on it.

It won't be "less profitable", they would actually lose money... More people completing offers would also mean more payouts of free gifts, which also means more money lost by FJ. They would be giving away more expensive freebies... and recieving a very little amount more in return.

That's what I mean by increasing value of FJ. In the short term, yes, they would make some loss, but in the long-term, this will definitely help FJ. I just think that FJ feels a little 'limited' as there aren't any offers for the main target audience interested in freebies.

it's not that we don't want offers that are available more widely, but there are a number of factors.

Ringtones=fraud there's no getting away from that and we definitely don't want that.

Also they pay a max of £5, so it's not a question of short term loss, we'd be bankrupt after a short period of time paying out £20 and only receiving £5. The maths just don't work, so as someone said we'd have to generate income in other ways which can only harm ratios long term.

The other issue is that most offers require people to enter into a contract of sorts, and to have a contract you in most cases need to be over 18.

Hopefully in the future some company will come along and see the value of working with incentive freebie sites but untill that happens its a bit of a case of tough luck

Referral ratios would go through the roof if there was a "Spend £10 in Topman" offer...

Good point.

Until then, I presume FJ is already looking for offers for under 18's and that the newsletter is on its way...?
