| Mr Baldy Chicken | Re: I feel i've been ripped off!sites have differrent rates, you have not been ripped off... you had a perfect opportunity to sign up for either site, or even both! Sites have different business models, I am sure if you go to free pay you'll find it for even less refs and you can then accuse Giveaway of wanting too many greens!!! Giveaway are a long established site and their business model may allow them to offer a lower rate, at the end of the day these sites are not charities but businesses! I can get my ps3 for 1 less green from Giveaway!! (I am doing both!) and as claire will probably type just after I have finished this post (psychic powers) Freebiejebies allow you to roll over unused greens to the next item, Giveaway dont, these unallocated greens subsidise the referral requirements of the items.

Sites rates change all the time and if giveaways rate was 8, you wouldnt feel "ripped off". personally speaking, I'd say its easier to get referrals for the FJ sites than the giveaway sites so found getting refs for FJ quicker. Everyone can decide which companies they want to join but its not exactly fair to say you feel "ripped off" as FJ are more than fair with everything that they do.

| iPod 20gb | Re: I feel i've been ripped off!I did have a choice on sign up but when I first joined, all I knew was fj and didn't bother to look at the other sites, so it is my fault. Freebiejeebies do have up's inc being able to rolover greens and almost instant reply to tickets but I do not think that is not worth two greens. I only feel that because I find it really had to get one green, on any site.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: I feel i've been ripped off!Just the fact that you are dealing with FJ is worth the extra 2 refs: the rolled over yellows/pendings/greens and their fab customer service. edit: took me a while to press Post, was sorting out lunch.... Why don't u try Giveaway for yourself then; u'll quickly see the difference.

personally, I do feel that its worth the extra refs to have your account restarted again. As has been said though, companies run differently and some items will be less on FJ than on giveaway and vice versa. Its like any business....go shopping and an item might be cheaper in tesco than asda but other items will be dearer. Our problem is that we have many good sites competing with each other and the ref rates would be higher if it wasnt for this "competition"

If you want join a different network and wait until you have to wait a week for a support ticket response and 3 weeks for verification and then say if its worth it or not...FreebieJeebies service is top notch! Understand that finding greens is tricky but work at it and by the time you get to 6 you'll find getting to 8 no problem!! J

would I be right in thinking the 6 refs was for the ipodnanos site on giveaway? I think its 7 on istuff.giveaway. Its far easier attracting someone to sign up for a site that has lots of items on its site, whereas ipod nanos only has........nanos I'm not knocking giveaway as they are a fantastic site who got me on my way to freebie heaven but networks work in different ways.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: I feel i've been ripped off!LOL you have not been ripped off, you have chosen the right site! At FJ you get the best support (not just compared to other freebie networks, but even better than big companies who hire hundreds/thousands of people - virgin, dell, o2 etc etc!) and you can stick with them forever having just completed your own offer ONCE > ive had like 14 orders and would never move to another network! With custom orders they will make the best of efforts to order you almost ANYTHING from ANYWHERE! Oh and lets not forget that FJ will get your order out to you in the shortest possible time, sometimes draw droppingly quick (next day on my tom tom i remember!) Also getting £20 a ref of stuff, and £17 cash a ref i struggle to see how thats a rip off! If you hadnt discovered freebie jeebies you'd be paying retail for your ipod, but instead its going to cost you £5-10...what a rip off! P.s. i shouldnt really tell you this after insulting the best network going, but if you order the nano as a custom order rather than a set gift from somewhere online offering it cheaper then your probably get it for less refs! Look, you wouldn't believe the number of times I have bought something only to find it cheaper on Hot UK Deals a week later, but that's just bad luck and not the retailers fault. As has been said there are so many things that go into deciding what the refs should be for a particular item that it is simply not realistic to expect all sites to offer everything at the same rate. Moving forward now you know about other sites you can make a choice based on all aspects of getting greens. It also seems strange to hear of someone complaining of being ripped off over something they got for free!

| iPod 60gb | Re: I feel i've been ripped off!Just read this thread and had to laugh ..... *** RIPPED OFF !!!!! *** how can you possibly feel ripped off at any site that gives you free gifts ?? As many other people have already said, each freebie network run on different business models and each have their pro's and cons. I have had items from FJ's and from giveaway ... and had no problems with either, both have been GREAT and i have certainly never felt ripped off !!! Yes FJ's do tend to have slightly higher ref rates tha GiveAway but you have to way this up against the rollover greens etc. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: I feel i've been ripped off!GA offer custom orders at £25 a referral, so the actual difference isn't much. Support on GA may be lacking at times and it is frustrating that pendings can't be carried over. However, their site designs are the best going, bar none, and their outstanding ratios (from web traffic) back that up. That is the joy of freebie hunting right now, there is such a variety and great competition out there, everyone should be able to find a site that suits.
