Changing Gift

Ok, I was reading a post on this site I just wanted clarification on a few things. 1) I read that if I tried to get a iPod Shuffle and completed the offer and I got say like 6 greens but then decided I didn't want the shuffle could I change it, and keep referrals and offer?

2) The same as above really but I claimed the Shuffle then would my account be reset and I will have the remaining 4 greens? and will my offer still be completed or would I have to start a new offer?
