We've had other YouTube referring URLs that have tracked perfectly, so perhaps they must have typed the link directly when they saw it in your video?

If they click it in your description, it should track fine.

Well i got it working on select you'll be pleased to know, however i've managed to make the tooltips blue (doesnt really fit with the sites colour scheme but it works!) I'll fix it, promise

Can I just say this isn't a problem with the feature, it works fine. Your referrals must be typing the link directly or the page you're referring from has no title.

Some browsers don't return the page referrer information, and I believe (though dont know for certain) that some of these "protect your online identity programs" also block page referrer's
