cancelling books direct

hey,

Just thought id share my experience with canceling books direct. I bought two books from them about 2months ago so i could close my account.

I first rang and spoke a woman who said she would close my account, i then rang 5 days later to confirm my account was closed and the woman said it hadnt been closed but she was going to close it for me.

I thought that was the end of it i then logged into my account about 10days later and saw a editor choice was offered (if i didnt decline, it would of been sent to me and i would of been charged) so i emailed them and got a reply about 7 days later (and thats only cos i nugged the support ticket after 5 days) confirm my account was now closed

So thats the end of it...... so i thought ...i have just logged into today and yet another editors choice has been chosen for me which im lucky to of caught.

Its really annoying me, everytime i ring i must get put through to a call center in india

anyone else experience problems like this?

i wouldnt recommend this offer to anyone, it cheap yes but not worth the hassle.

Re: cancelling books direct

exceem should make an exception for this bastard of an offer.
they use the term "offer" rather loosely

Re: cancelling books direct

No exception will be made with regards to the cancelling of offers, the more cancelling there is, the less new offers there will be.

If you don't like a offer then thats fair enough, to start throwing names around is not really on.
