Re: macbook air specs?

Pete, basically, you do not want to buy a Macbook Air unless you are constantly travelling and need it be that thin.
It may look tasty but comes without any form of drive, so you have to splash out on extras. The specs aren't even that good, so I would recommend waiting a month until the aluminium Macbooks are out, which will look pretty much like the air but have better specs and be available for a cheaper price.

Take a look at Mac Rumors: Apple Mac Rumors and News You Care About if you're inetrested.

Re: macbook air specs?

also read this: RAM: 2 GB (installed) / 2 GB (max)

they cheeky b*****ds have given you 2GB ram, which is alright, but they havent left you any free spots! so if you want morre ram, you need to buy another laptop!

brother, with the processor spec, you won't need more than 2gb of ram + YOU DONT BUY MACBOOK AIR FOR PERFORMANCE, you buy it to have a thin laptop and to show off that you wasted a lot of money on something that is only powerful enough to surf the net...

Seems like a bit of a hassle just so I could say I owned a Macbook Air..

I want to get something from Alienware!

Something that lights up blue..

Who cares about the specs - I'm all for aesthetics!

Not really.. I'm not that silly - BUT, Alienware are pretty impressive in their design.

Alienware is pretty slick, but you're paying a lot for the brand name

I think it's silly people pay so much money to make their machine look that is going to sit under your desk that I'd rather spend on upgrading the specs a little more

It's too thin for a CD drive, that's why they didn't include one. They sell a blocky one that plugs in, but that's extra. They're charging for standard features over an already expensive piece of equipment which isn't even all that powerful in the first place. Plus you'll probably snap it.

you can get a top spec Crysis destroying PC for much less than an alienware PC and "pimp" it with a sexy case:

XION Solaris Black (Blue LED) Mid Tower Case - No PSU - Ebuyer

Coolermaster Black Stacker 832 Full Tower Case - No PSU - Ebuyer

Nexos Blue LED Light Strip - 12x LEDs per Tube, 8x speed settings - Molex Connection - Ebuyer

but you are right, alienwares do look amazing

you could join alienware.GA if you want an alienware
