LOL.. just to clear it up, 1337 is an online gaming term to depict the word 'leet' which is a way of saying 'elite'.

So if someone is 1337, they're really good at whatever they're 1337 at

thats the worst shorthand i've ever seen! 1337 has got no resemblance to elite...

and its only one more click to write the word properly!
