Supported doesnt mean "most popular". If that was the case, mrflee, snatchers and others that have come and gone could have been classed as "supported" and we all know what happened with them. In my eyes, if a site has proven to me that they are genuine and have become popular with the members, have good support and eager to please, then that's good enough for me.
