FreebieJeebies closed my account ....

Hi everyone, I stumbled across freebiejeebies one day when I was looking at something on Amazon, at first I thought "this looks like a con!" but had a little look around and then linked to Exceem where I saw lots of people who had claimed to have received free items from their referrals so I thought I would give it a chance. Even though I was still a little dubious I contacted several friends and asked them if they would do me a favour and sign up to an account. The amount of times I heard "are you trying to scam us Mark?" was quite a put off but I persevered and eventually started to get a few 'greens'. I asked around all my friends and family to see if they could assist me and even though they were not all that computer literate some of them agreed to help. This is where I made my mistake, not really reading the full terms and conditions (and in fairness, who really does!?!) I signed up a couple of accounts for family who live in West Yorkshire (I live in Kent) and not realising you were not allowed to complete it for them I continued unwittingly breaking FreebieJeebies terms and conditions. Once I had got eight referrals I noticed that my account had been 'placed on hold' for breaches of the terms and conditions. I contacted Alex at support who accused me of breaking 2 of their rules. Now I don't deny that I broke the rule regarding signing up accounts on my own computer, this was purely an accident and I wish I had read the terms and conditions fully but there was no malice or fraudulent intentions involved. I have now had my account placed on permanent hold (basically meaning that none of my other referrals will ever count towards a free gift). So it seems that it has turned full circle, I just wish I went with my gut instincts and decided that 'you don't get nothing for nothing in this world' because now all my doubting friends were right .. it is nothing more that a big rip-off!!! For all you people thinking 'I wonder if this really works' DON'T DO IT! You will waste your own time, your friends and families time and just load the pockets of the scammers behind this whole eleborate con! Yous in disgust. *EDIT* I have just had this reply from 'Support' ... I am unable to disclose the nature of the evidence held that proves your involvement in multiple accounts because we cannot allow this particular method to get into the public domain since it may compromise our fraud detection methods. This is contained in our Terms & Conditions, as follows:

V. ACCOUNTS ON HOLD
(m). We are not obligated to fully disclose the reasons for putting an account on hold if doing so may compromise our fraud detection methods.

I am sorry but that stinks! I am a civil servant and I do not get involved in fraudulent activities, I find it offensive that I am being accused of such from a simple mistake, why can the offending accounts not just be removed so I can continue where I left off (this time with the knowledge of the terms and conditions drummed firmly into my head!!) the reason why I cannot is because this is a con, nothing more nothing less!

Erm, I do! And so do all smart people because it stops this sort of thing happening!

So let me get this straight, you break the T&C's in order to get your free gift and admit to doing this and then have the gall to accuse them of being scammers!! You're an idiot!!!!

You obviously haven't read around this forum as tonnes of people have received gifts from Freebiejeebies (though admittedly they were smart enough not to break the rules) so you won't convince us it is a scam.

The moral of the story is read the terms and conditions. And if you admit to breaking the rules then at least accept the consequences of doing so!

They were just doing their job, no point writing an essay like you have but to put it simply...YOU broke their terms and conditions, You are now on hold. END OF.

I've been on hold on a network before but knew it was my own wrong doing and accepted that my hard work had been put to waste, you just have to get over it and move to another network.

Re: FreebieJeebies closed my account ....

Terms and conditions are there for a reason, and freebiejeebies are well within their rights to place your account on permanent hold.

The terms and conditions set out are to protect not only fj, but the advertisers that are being provided leads.

'You dont get nothing for nothing' - please see 'i got my free item', i need not say anymore about that.

Freebiejeebies are one of the best (if not the best!) networks that are currently running in the UK, and to call them scammers is ridiculous. Anyone who has stuck to terms and conditions will gladly recommend them over most of the other networks out there,

Look at it from their point of view - how do they know it was a simple mistake? How do I know it was simple mistake? Look at it objectively without the knowledge of your personal situation that you have and explain how someone can objectively look at what you have done and know whether or not it was an innocent mistake or fraud?

As far as I am aware they haven't accused of fraud, just breaking their terms and conditions which isn't the same thing. The term Fraud Detection Methods does not imply you have been accused of fraud - just that the systems that they use to detect fraud also detected your mistake.

Again, it is not a con - you ticked the box indicating you had read the terms and conditions, admit you broke the rules, and are now crying like a baby about it. Try a different site if you want, but you won't convince the people on here who have received gifts and voted Freebiejeebies best new network that it is a con.

Re: FreebieJeebies closed my account ....

well i think its all been said above really , read the rules and stick to them , if it says in there t&c's they do not have to disclose the reason then thats fair enough , after all you did agree to the t&c's when joining the site.
the owners of freebiejeebies are very reasonable if it is a genuine mistake but they have every right to keep you on hold as you broke more there t&c's , if they let you start again then they would have to let other people off too and then whats the point of having t&c's
as for advising people not to complete these sites well thats up to the individual but there are plenty of people who have been sucessful in getting thousands of pounds worth of gifts on here and why...... because they read the rules!

Re: FreebieJeebies closed my account ....

I agree it was a bit of a rant, hence the lack of breath in between sentences lol.

So I didn't fully read the terms and conditions, I don't think that is enough to call me an idiot! What I am offended at is that there has been no flexibility involved at all, I could understand FreebieJeebies removing the offending accounts but to permanently place my account on hold seems a bit strong to me.

It was a genuine mistake, the accounts that I admit to setting up for family were their correct genuine details including credit card etc, it is just that I entered them myself not knowing it was breaking the rules.

Anyway, I apologise if my rant offended anyone and I hope my use of paragraphs in this message helps the reading ability! I am very new to this referral thing and I admit I made a mistake but that does not make me a fraudster, the relevant payment was made by each referral I got!

well i doubt you are gonna be taken off hold so you either need to decide to start a new site and learn from experience or just knock it on the head dont you really.

Agreed. It was because you didn't read them, broke them, then took the time to sign up here JUST so you could post that they are the scammers when it was you in the wrong!

Again, how do they know it was innocent? Look at it objectively and tell us how to show it was innocent? If everyone who got caught said it was an innocent mistake, let's be flexible then there would be no point in having the rules.

Re: FreebieJeebies closed my account ....

It's simple, if you adhere to the terms you WILL recieve your free item. It's very unfortunate for you I agree, but I should imagine networks get so many people trying to cheat the system knowingly, that they simply cannot make exceptions unless a mistake is quickly reported by the account holder. If they did, it would be pointless running such a site, as they would continually lose out. It's a shame you've had this experience as Freebiejeebies ARE a fair network, and have made a lot of people very happy!

Hmm, impressive first post

You blatently admit that you have broken the terms and conditions but then you choose to have a moan at the company as if it's their fault?

Then come on here and rant and try tell people not to sign up for freebiejeebies saying that it's a rip off and a scam. lol, so I guess the fact I must have had about £7000 in total from them (too bored to count) means they are a scam? lol get a clue.

If you cant be bothered to read terms and conditions then thats your fault, not freebiejeebies so instead of joining exceem just to have a go at them, you can do one of two things (1) try again but this time follow the rules or (2) forget it and go and buy the stuff you want.

Dont come onto exceem slagging off networks and making claims that you cant back up. You're in the wrong and not them.

Deal with it............

Again, that is my point ... of course I cannot prove it was an innocent mistake, only I know that it was and I am not here to convince everyone of my innocence because I know I did not do anything morally wrong so I will sleep well tonight. All I was asking for was for FJ to tell me how they can be 100% sure of fraudulent activity ... because I 100% know that there wasn't any!

Yeh it's the fact that you came on here and posted about them being the scammers that cheeses me off, you're name might be Gully but we aren't that gullible to believe a network like FJ are scammers !!

If they tell you then you know how to avoid getting caught next time would be the obvious response.

It might not be fraudulent in that you had the intention of defrauding them, but by signing up as other people that was effectively what you were doing regardless of your mental state.

In any case, they don't have to show it was fraudulent with 100% certainty - just that you broke their terms and conditions which you have admitted.

Talk of fraud doesn't help, the real issue is breach of contract which you have admitted so I think that is the end of it really and the thread can be closed probably.

hey James, my post being worse than one of yours is debatable lol! but thank you for letting me know that I am not the only one this has happened to! I will think about signing up to another site but I think I will find it hard to convince my friends that it is legit after what happened the first time! Thanks all for your advice and comments.

The best thing to do is Start again...but go for something like a Shuffle !! u only need 2 people for that..then show your mate's that gift and the "i got my free item" page..if that STILL doesn't convince them, then Sod Em !!! get your referrals by trading or other ways...none of my mates did it for me at the start untill i got some stuff, now there all saying get me this get me that.....

Being put on HOLD on ur first freebie site SUCKS !! I shud know, as i had my first account for a 360 put on HOLD.....but i just accepted it and carried on i haven't looked back since

Don't let it STOP ya...
