![]() | Bringing freebiefreebie downi'm pretty sure there is a way of doing that, bringing freebiefreebie down. i'm not the only one havin problem with freebiefreebie, if we all come together we can do something about it i think. may be if we complain to trading standards they should able to help or point right direction. if freebie.. not uk based based trading standards might be able to block them off from apearing here in uk |

I've checked on the BBB and an address is needed to file a complaint. Does anyone have any idea as to where to get freebiefreebie's address? | |

![]() | Re: Bringing freebiefreebie downI did, but not very helpful though. The reply in full: "Domains by Proxy (hereinafter DBP) is in receipt of your letter regarding FREEBIEFREEBIE.COM. As way of background, you should know that when registering a domain name (such as ABC.com), individuals and businesses alike are required to submit certain personal information, which then becomes a matter of public record. Some individuals and businesses, for a variety of reasons, wish to have their ownership of a domain name remain anonymous. DBP provides a proxy registration service that allows individuals to register a name while maintaining their anonymity. Because DBP is listed as the registrant of all domains for which it provides service, someone may believe that DBP operates or has an interest in the site itself. That is not the case; nor is DBP a registrar or a hosting provider. Since we are not a registrar or hosting provider, we are not able to cancel a domain, transfer ownership of a domain, remove a website or its contents, or enforce good business practices. For this, you will need to contact the domain registrar and/or the hosting provider. The only action that DBP can take against a domain owner who is our customer is to remove the privacy service on the domain registration, effectively revealing their contact information in the Whois database, which can only be done with proof of copyright infringement, trademark infringement or proof of other continued illegal activity. Otherwise we can only provide the customer contact information upon receipt of a properly served subpoena. Please be advised that our Domain Name Proxy Agreement prohibits use of our service for illegal or immoral purposes. Although DBP does not make determinations on the actual legality or morality of our customer’s site, we work diligently with third parties to ensure that our service is not used to hinder justice. We have a standard procedure for handling inquiries regarding our customer's information. Typically, we open an investigation upon receipt of a legal complaint letter. We notify our customer and give them a specified amount of time to contact the complaining party and voluntarily release their contact information. If they fail to comply within the specified time frame, we cancel their privacy service and remove our contact information from the Domains Registration. From that point, you will need to resolve your issue directly with the owner of the domain as it is displayed in the Whois database. If you have a legal complaint against the owner of the domain, you will need to retain an attorney to seek remedy and/or contact the fraud or abuse department of the registrar or the hosting provider of the domain. If you would like to draft a letter to the owner of the domain, we will forward it on to the owner, or you may simply send it to the email address listed in the Whois database (IE: FREEBIEFREEBIE.COM@domainsbyproxy.com) and it will automatically be forwarded to the appropriate party. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Kindest Regards, Deborah Real Office of the General Manager Domains by Proxy, Inc." So, any ideas as to where we go from here?? |
