| iPod 20gb | Some News regarding PaypalFrom USA Site Hey guys, If you aren't aware, about a week ago paypal started limiting some FreeSite owners paypal accounts - causing me some concern. However, it seemed like they just decided to peg two of them and that would be it. I was really hoping that it wouldn't have to come to this but paypal has limited yet another site owners account this morning, and with the massive amounts we ship each week it is not worth the risk of paypal locking up our cash. Effective IMMEDIATLEY paypal will no longer be a payment option. Even if you ordered last week you will not be able to do it. So what does this mean? We are going to be offering checks to everyone from now on, and we are looking into doing visa gift cards as well. However, please be aware that this is going to mess up shipping for a little while. We ordered some checks today that are compatible with our accounting software so we can print checks and send them out - however it may not be until next week that we get them. So I am asking everyone to be as pateint as possible, as this is a HUGE change on our end and may take some time to get running smoothly. I will update you all later in the week on the status of this and when you can expect shipment. If you want to still get on Mondays shipping please order a physical gift. **Even though the paypal option is still available on the site if you order it you will be placed under check as your payment option on our end instead - the actual gifts will be updated as soon as everything is set in stone** Thanks for your cooperation and sorry for the troubles, but this is a necessary measure to take. -Peter EDIT: We are going to send out supercertificates (just closed a deal with them) and we should be set up with that in time for Monday! Check out giftcertificates.com for info on how they work! Update For internation users it's still up in the air. I can defintley do epassporte (which has no fees I believe), and I am going to try to get a hold of firepay and see if i can work something out with them. I can't do Neteller, and Moneybookers has apparently taken some of the same actions as paypal against freebie sites. When I know for sure I'll let you know |

| iPod 20gb | Re: Some News regarding PaypalThis is confusing - does that mean international users can get a physical gift instead now? Because I don't have any of the things stated in the international payment options and don't plan on getting any of them. |

| iPod 30gb | Re: Some News regarding PaypalI don't think bank transfers really depend on what bank it is from, should be ok hopefully. Paypal had some issues with the legality of the freebie sites, that is why they don't want them using it. He has talked about looking into google's new payment method once it comes online.

| iPod 30gb | Re: Some News regarding PaypalYeah western union is for sending money to someone in another country, can be picked up at your nearest agent, wherever that is, usually in a local branch of a bank. There is an agent finder on their website. Although with Western Union i think the sender pays the fees, which could pose a problem.

| MJ lady with maracas | Re: Some News regarding Paypalthe sender (free gift network) would just send the full amount you asked for, and let western union take the fees from that (i wouldnt have a issue with 5% of something that was free or cost me very little) most travel agents seam to use them to, judging from the signs i see

| iPod 20gb | Re: Some News regarding PaypalQuoted from A4F Well, so much for me trying to think ahead. It seems paypal has decided, thanks to kerms, to allow freebie site s now and has taken all the site owner accounts off of a limited status. I am going to leave paypal as a payment option, but I still am going to add supercertificates and checks to the bunch . Sorry for all thr trouble caused, but I figured it would be better to be safe and announce removing paypal first, but apparently I should have waitied another day So all good although Anygift still may not have it she is unsure. |
