Free4me are extremely unreasonable

I was unfairly put on hold by free4me network. I signed up and did my offer at home on my home ip. I then referred a couple of my friends who are at uni with me. They signed up using the shared university ip (I live in university halls and so I also use this shared ip) my friends decided they did not want to do an offer and so did not complete any. I managed to get 4 greens whilst at home from people living all over the country

after a couple of days being back at uni I find out my account has been put on hold so I email and ask why. I’m told multiple accounts so I explain my situation.

After 1 week.. no response. So I post up what I was told may be the problem (registered with dif email on lcds) and then I finally get a response saying I’m a liar. So I write him another email saying this:

Quote:
on the A4F network you said I created multiple accounts on the same site? This is not true. Please help me out mate, I have not been rude or anything about the problem. On A4F I described the problem I believed to be true. On the emails I was panicked and confused and did not know what was going on. On most other sites it is ok to have people log in on the same ip but as long as they did their offers on a separate ip this should not be a problem? Is this different on your site?

You absolutley CANNOT login on the same ip on more than one account for the same site. This is considered fraud and you will stay on hold.

My response

Quote:

But you should have records which indicate that I did my offer on a site which nobody else has done an offer on. Please none of the people that have signed up on my university ip have completed an offer. the 4 people which have gone green on my account all live across the UK

2 in Glasgow, 1 in Aberdeen and 1 not known

I will no longer log in using this ip and only use my home ip if this is the problem. I am pleading with you, no-one on my account has completed an offer using the same shared ip as me.

Please take my case into consideration

thanks

Jamie

And his reply

Quote:

Sorry, you will stay on hold.

Now I understand that free4me is a great network with their offers and getting goods to people, but this is really not very cool. I have said to him I would get extra greens, cancel my current greens, check to make sure none of my greens are from the shared ip etc etc but nothing seems to be doing the trick

I find this a big problem because every other network does not seem to have a problem with logging into accounts on shared ips, as long as the activity is not suspicious or offers are done on it. Even freepay allow this and they are very strict. I just hope you can all hear my cry. I just feel they are being unreasonable

To be honest, it was a bit silly getting your firends to join under you when you would all be logging in on the same ip, and its all linked to teh same account, thats the problem with using uni pc's etc, in fututre dont refer any one from uni to join under you, and if your mates want to do the sites to, get them to do it from different computer labs as the ip may well be different for each lab, but make sure none of these accounts are reffered by any of the other ones

Re: Free4me are extremely unreasonable

The freebie sites really need to shape up as far as IPs go, it's a known problem that there are not enough IP addresses to go around, not until will switch to IP v6 (which is taking it's sweet time), I don't know how it is state side, but very few people over here have a static IP. and at places like work, uni, college etc. there are often only a handful of IPs for the hundreds of computers, yet these places are among the best for refferals, uni especially as the products on offer are aimed at this age range, and uni students are perpetually broke.

surely a freebie site, could do a physical address verification, in the cases where a shared IP was used?

well this was one of his many responses

Probably should have read the TOS you agreed to first:

Section 1.3: Signups may not be from a public area such as a workplace, college campus, or library.

so this means that because im a uni student im not allowed to do any freebie sites? that seems a bit unfair. also i did not SIGNUP from campus and so i did not break the rules and should not be on hold?
proving i did not break TOS as i signed up from home and then logged in from uni. loads of networks dont have a problem with this, hes just arrogent

Re: Free4me are extremely unreasonable

That seems really unfair indeed, when ive signed up at home to freebie sites i check my status when at college and have not come across any problems. And surely they should only be concerned if you sign up and complete a offer on the same ip as your referals.

I havnt read the full terms and conditions but that extract clearly says that you cant sign up from a public area, but the fact is you didnt...does it mention anywhere in the terms about logging in from a public area. If not i dont see why you should be on hold, they should just remove the greens if anything. Bit no doudt they have a term along the lines of "We may put anyone on hold for any reason".

Sorry mate , just keep pestering them and you might get lucky...

Re: Free4me are extremely unreasonable

unlikely, ive pestered for weeks now. thing is, people that signed up using the uni shared ip didnt even do a damn offer. i sent many emails saying to remove them, id do more greens etc etc but nothing.

i posted the same thing up on A4F and just got abuse from all the members, mods and free4me owner. they all have their head up their arses it seams.

just gutted because i was getting through the greens so quickly

No. As our terms state, once you are banned from one of our sites you are banned from all of our network sites.
