On hold.

My friend won't be getting his iPod. 2 of my referrals went on hold and i've no idea why. The only thing I can think of is because they have the same first name which they include in their e-mail address. If this is the case, I can't think of a more ridiculous reason for going on hold.

Has anyone else had problems of this nature?

Re: On hold.

It could be something else... Get them to send in a support ticket. The network will be able tell why their account is on hold.

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure there's a better reason than that though. Are you sure they didn't signup/complete an offer from the same pc? Are there addresses different? Did they use the same payment details eg credit card?

I could get them to do it, but the guy that i was getting the ipod for leaves the country on tuesday so I doubt they will get a response, get the problem sorted and the item shipped in time.

I'm absolutely gutted for him. He was going to buy an iPod and I talked him out of it because I wanted to get it for him. I can't afford to buy him one either.

Unless I can think of something sharpish, I'm gonna have to give him my iPod Touch :'(

One used credit card, the other used debit card. Although I know them both, they don't know each other.

I'm sure he's still got time to buy one if he really needs it before he goes, don't worry.

He is cycling around Europe, (I know, he's insane and I've told him) so he added his iPod money to his bike budget and bought a better bike.

Ahhhh.

I just had a look and I don't think forfree4u offer any cash alternative, which might have helped you towards one, sorry.

Thanks for looking, very thoughtful of you. I've text both guys and asked them to send in a support ticket. Just playing the waiting game now.

Hi Matt,

We've replied to their support tickets, so hopefully we'll be able to take the accounts off hold soon!

Oh that awesome. Thankyou so much.

I'm at work until 11pm, but if I am able to verify again before then, will it make a difference if I click verify from a different IP address? (my work one)

Hi Matt,

Nope, it doesn't matter where you click verify from

Re: On hold.

Great news (for anyone that's interested) My friend's trip has been delayed a couple of days, so it looks like he might just get his iPod after all.
